From UK to Italy, 4 of June to 11 of June 2025, ryanair, staying at Rome. I am 17 travelling with my 18 year old friend and I'm unsure what documents I need and how the whole process will work and I'm struggling to understand the government websites.

I understand that I need a child consent form, but am unsure what exactly it need on it as I've heard conflicting information. As well as that, I allegedly need to meet italian requirements too or they will trap me in the country(?). Could someone please explain what documents I need to travel to Rome and back? I'm really lost and stressed over this

Bought full economy flex return tickets with Malaysia airlines online Japan to Australia.

Before purchase I had checked carefully and rules stated stopover allowed with a fee. I also checked and confirmed on chat and called (though staff would give incorrect info and later confirm the correct information when ticket rules pointed out to them). Have proof of this. The staff said I could add stop over by calling call center again, by adding at check in counter (really?) and even in KUL at Malaysia airlines desk (really?) once arrived as transit passenger.

Tried to reschedule tickets online for a slightly later date and though it showed me I was due a small 500JPY refund the next screen didn't show me a confirm button option or anything (though it implied it). Just discard button was visible and functional.

So I was forced to call, after finally getting through hour later, call center agent changed it. However, after everything was done and when I kept asking they finally said I can't have a stop over. I checked the rules afterwards and noticed they've changed the ticket type so it doesn't allow stop over, issuing office to Australia (instead of original Japan) and currency AUD instead of original Yen (what happened to the 500jpy refund?). Actually every single fare condition eg stopover, refund, penalties, change, every single category states DOES NOT APPLY.

I need to take the flight out but want the original conditions I paid for and had agreed to as part of my original documented purchase including stop overs, points and so forth (maybe that small refund too? LoL).

Btw, I checked several times even now that the same ticket type, fare conditions and currency was still available including exact same date and flights. And yup available.

So what can I do? What would you do? Very frustrating waiting on call hr+ and agents not knowing ticket rules and then screwing things up like this.

I live in Switzerland and booked SAS plane tickets for my trip to Tromsø, Norway. My original itinerary was ZRH–OSL–TOS and TOS–OSL–ZRH.

However, the flight to Tromsø was canceled just one day before departure. The tickets were rebooked, and I had to transfer again in Copenhagen, which meant I had to leave much earlier.

On the way back, my flight was delayed by more than 2 hours, so I missed the OSL–ZRH connection. SAS automatically rebooked that flight too, and now I have to transfer again in Belgium. I’ll be arriving about 7 hours later than originally planned.

Has anyone had experience with compensation? Is it usually possible to get a €400 refund (or maybe even €800 in my case)?

Also, I heard that meals during waiting times at the airport can be reimbursed. I’m a bit confused about this… Does it matter what or how much I eat? Can I get everything refunded if I send the receipts? Or how does it usually work? I received a voucher from SAS, but it was only worth about €10, and I could barely buy anything with that at the cafés or restaurants.

Hey everyone! I’ve picked up some small sake cups in South Korea and little beer cups in Taiwan, and I’d really love to carry them in my hand luggage so they don’t get broken in my checked suitcase.

I’m flying with Air China and have a transfer in Beijing on my way back to Europe. Does anyone know if it’s allowed to bring glass items like these in carry-on luggage? I’m a bit nervous they might take them away at security during the transfer.

I’m flying Southwest this week with a 45 minute layover in Denver. I’ve never flown Southwest before, and I usually cram everything into a carry on. But I’ll have my hiking boots with me which take up a lot of space, so this time I’m thinking of just bringing a checked bag since it’s included with Southwest.

But with only a 45 minute layover, I’m worried both about making the second flight myself, and about my checked bag making the flight. I fly 3-4 times a year, and it feels like my flights get delayed more often than not. A delay on the first flight would almost guarantee that I miss the second.

Given the short layover, is it better to just cram everything into a carry on?

Hello, I am a permanent resident of Canada and have a Turkish passport. I will be traveling from Canada to Turkey. I found a self transfer ticket that connects to Edinburgh. Do I need a transit visa since I have a Canadian PR card? I will only be bringing cabin baggage. Thanks for your help.

Hi, I’m flying with hainan airlines from MAN-NRT with a short stopover in Beijing. It’s not until may 5th so I know it’s way too early to actually check In, so I booked my trip via trip.com and every time I try to view my booking on the website I get an error so I’m a little bit worried.

Will I maybe have to check in in person on the day at Manchester airport and if I check in in person will I get my boarding passes for all my flights or would I have to check in again at PEK airport.

Sorry if this post is repetitive or dumb but I’ve never done a long haul flight and I’m usually a ryanair and easyJet warrior where check in is super simple.

I was scheduled to fly from Mumbai to the US via London on Virgin Atlantic on 3rd April and the flight was cancelled a few hours before takeoff. They apparently rebooked me on a different flight for the next morning. When I went to the airport I was told that the booking never happened and I had to take a cab back home at my own expense. I then found they had rebooked me again which fortunately did take off. However I had paid for a seat upgrade on the original flight which did not carry over when they rebooked me. My original ticket was from the US through Delta Airlines and Virgin was the flight operator for both the Mumbai - London and London - US trips. I am curious as to what compensation I can ask for and expect to get. For e.g.:

1. Am I eligible for compensation for the seat upgrade that I could not avail of?
   
2. Would I be able to ask for compensation for the cab fare from and to the airport for the next flight?
   
3. The total delay I went through was almost 24 hours; could there be any compensation for that?

Leaving from NL (YYT) taking advantage of the very cheap Westjet round trips to Gatwick, Dublin and Paris. I would like to see all 3 countries, but will settle for at least England and France. I figured out the cheapest option for the trans-atlantic legs is to fly in and out of Gatwick, but it is only a few bucks extra to fly to/from Paris as well. I was considering flying into Gatwick and out of Paris, or vice versa. Dates roughly May 26-June 10.

I want to make this a big trip while also being very cost-conscious. It's myself, F and my mother- active, adventurous people. We are interested in pet/house-sitting as a manner of accommodation and are not opposed to hostels either. Will probably treat ourselves to one nice hotel along the way, planning to sleep on transit as well.

I'd like to see Germany, Italy and Spain as well. I was told a Eurail pass is likely what I should get, but wondering how cheap flights would be between these countries. Planning on staying for 12-14 days.

I honestly don’t get the rush to board a plane as soon as possible. Every time I’ve flown, people sprint to queue at the gate and then stand there for 10–20 minutes. Once boarding "starts," we just get moved to another holding area—usually a cramped hallway or stairwell outside the building—where we wait even longer, often in the cold.

I’ve seen families with babies who paid for priority boarding end up stuck on freezing stairs while I was still sitting comfortably, waiting for the line to disappear. Am I missing something here? Is there a hidden benefit I’m not seeing?

Long story short, gate agent for air transat at Cancun (back to Toronto) made a mistake, misread the document thinking my pets rabbies vaccine was expired when it wasn't.

Missed my flight, now bumped to one 8hrs later on the same day.

Stress was caused, I walked away scrambling to find a vet but had the clear head to review the document one more time and realizing they misread it.

He's also an emotional support animal for my partner. As you can imagine how stressed out we were realizing we couldn't board.

What are my options here?
