Career Am I hopeless? A recent 12th grade pass out, help

Hey, Iā€™m a recent 12th grade pass out. I had my exams this year, and honestly, Iā€™m really confused about what to do next. Iā€™m a ā€œCommerce without Mathsā€ student, and I absolutely hate Accountancy or maybe itā€™s just that I canā€™t seem to do well in it.

Iā€™m planning to appear for CUET and hopefully pursue B.Com (Hons), but the problem is that B.Com (Hons) involves a lot of Accountancy and similar subjects that I just donā€™t enjoy. And I also donā€™t have the willpower to continue studying the same things I struggled with in 12th grade for cuet preparation

I donā€™t know why, but lately, Iā€™ve been feeling really worthless. I could really use some guidance. Iā€™ve always been better at theory based subjects that are definitely my strength. Other than that idk, please help

Humanities/SocialScience Please help, Does anyone know the use of GATE score in Literature?

I really didn't know whom else to ask, and no body is giving me any clear responses hence reddit. I cleared GATE just this year and am getting emails from different IITs for M.A. by research programs. But the thing is, I have already completed my M.A. in English. I do want to stay in academics. But enrolling into an M.A. program means another 2 years and knowing the Indian job market specially in academia, needless to say ig. I am very confused about what I should do. I thought I would be able to apply for a PhD in IITs via GATE, but that's not the scenario, I guess. Can anyone please guide me? I literally don't know whom to talk to about this. Any kind of help will be great. My_qualifications is M.A. in english.

Career How is neuroscience as a career in india and how can I get into it?

There are no colleges for bsc neuroscience in india.

Can I pursue neuroscience after a BA psychology?

Is it a good field ? Can I somehow transition into tech after this as cognitive sciences and tech overlap in some aspects?

Science/B.Sc/M.Sc Should I leave engineering for research/teaching as professor?

Qualifications: I am a first year chemical engineering student at bits hyderabad college. I have tried very hard to study but couldn't score even a decent sgpa in both sem (this sem I got close to 5 in mid sems) the only subject I am good and am actually interested in is mechanics oscillation and waves(Meow for short) last Thursday I was close to crying when I went to my meow tutorial class and was just done with trying anything but just seeing the questions made me want to solve them made me feel interested in them, it made me think that it is actually what I want to do I love this feeling of being able to study something just for the reason of learning it! So I was thinking about going to the research side of meow especially in fluid & aerodynamics but am in trouble since from what I have seen the pay isn't even close to the hard work professors are expected to put in and also the initial time to even get a decent paycheck is very long. should I leave this thought just as a kid's dream or actually go through with it?

Other Are there any good Indian colleges that accept older students?

My qualifications are high school passout, first year dropout. I was a good student but I never went to college. Started working around 18 and I would say I have done well enough, even compared to my peers from prestigious universities. But now I am 27, I can afford to take 2-3 years sabbatical and I am thinking I want to spend the last of twenties learning economics or philosophy. But I am unsure if there is a path for older students to return back to academics in India. I don't really care about the degree as much as the quality of education. Is that realistic in India?

Law Lost in NEET prep for 4 years, now thinking of law ā€” need advice

I took 4 drops for NEET in hopes of doing better the next time but honestly I only took these drops because I couldn't see a future in any of the courses that I could get into after completing my 12th with PCB.

Now, with just a few days left for NEET 2025, Iā€™ve realized this field isnā€™t for me. Iā€™ve always been interested in law but never seriously considered it.

With around 6 months left for CLAT 2026, is it possible to crack it and get into a top NLU like NLSIU or NALSAR? Iā€™m ready to give it my all, but Iā€™d really appreciate some help:

Is 6 months enough?

What books or coaching should I follow?

How much do I need to score for the top NLUs?

Any tips for a late starter?

Also, would this switch be good for me?

Any guidance would mean a lot. Thanks!

My Qualifications - 12th Passed (PCB 87 %)

AdmissionProcedure/Fees/CollegeAdmin Need Guidance: Thinking of Moving from PCMB to Commerce

Hey everyone, I could really use some advice and clarity right now.

myquals : 78% in PCMB in school. Biology was always my strong suitā€”I even topped the subjectā€”but Math was a nightmare. I barely passed, so engineering was never really on the table for me.

My parents, however, were really keen on me giving NEET. I wrote it without any serious preparation and ended up getting 260 on my first attempt. They were ready to admit me into a deemed medical college, and honestly, they could afford it. But I wasnā€™t okay with the idea of spending such a huge amount on something I wasnā€™t even sure aboutā€”especially when I wasnā€™t passionate about medicine in the first place. So, I said no and decided to take a gap year.

But during that year, something shifted. The interest I had in medicine faded completely. The pressure at home kept increasing....my parents told me that no matter how I performed, medicine was my only option. If I didnā€™t get into a government college, theyā€™d still put me in a deemed one. It started to feel like I had zero control over my own future.

Over time, I realized I didnā€™t want to spend my entire youth buried in books, chasing a career I wasnā€™t excited about. I wanted something simpler, more peaceful. I wanted to start working, build my own life, and maybe travel a bit too. Thatā€™s when I started looking into the commerce field. Iā€™m now seriously considering doing B.Com and going for ACCA after that. My brother is in this field and it seems like a more balanced and practical path.

Now Iā€™m just stuck wonderingā€”am I making the right decision by switching streams? Is it going to be super hard to catch up with commerce basics since Iā€™m coming from a science background? And where do I even startā€”how do I choose the right college?

Iā€™m feeling really lost, and any advice or experiences you can share would mean a lot. Thanks so much for taking the time to read this.

Economics Improve my knowledge on international trade and economics

Hi, myquals, economics graduate. During my time in university I studied international trade and economics just for 1 semester and that was in my final year and due to my other commitments I couldn't really understand the concepts and get a feel of the subject.

Now due to the recent Trump tariffs everyone who knows me asks me about the situation and tariffs and because I follow some economists I can give them a pretty solid answer to their questions but I don't fully understand many things myself which is a bit embarrassing for me considering I did my undergraduation in this field.

Sooo... Can you all please suggest me some good youtube or other online courses on international trade and economics and possibly finance as well? I'll be really grateful and appreciative of the help.(Had to write this in paragraphs to make it easier to read)

Career Career after 12th PCMB, I'm really confused what career path I should take

Myquals:
Class 10th CBSE 2024: 95% (overall 6 subjects)
Class 11 PCMB cbse with no coaching, only regular school. School gave me neet material and completed syllabus neet level but I never took it seriously. My 11th went very bad but I never regretted my decision of taking pcmb.
Right now, I'm in class 12 (started a month ago) and doing fine.

Why I took PCMB:
- Loved science since childhood
- Unsure about what career path to take so I wanted to have more options after 12th
- Loved both math and biology

A few things about myself:

  1. I'm very curious about how stuff happens, that's why I loved science.
  2. I'm very indecisive. I thought I wanted to be a doctor until like 8th grade. 9th - biochemist. 10th - pilot or something in a creative field like photography or filmmaking or being an adventurer like Bear Grylls.
  3. I have an INFJ personality type though that is also inconsistent. I tend to be like an INTJ almost 45% of the time. My counsellor told me I have to learn to be like an INTJ more, cuz that's more "practical and logical".
  4. I think I'm like a Multipotentialite
  5. I LOVE travelling

My qualities:
- Creative, Empathetic, Tolerant, Independent, Artistic

- Good at analyzing and planning stuff, problem solving, Critical/Over thinker, Observant, Good Pattern recognition, experiential sensing

- Good decisions but I take a lot of time and confusion, it's like accuracy-focused decisions, I'm a perfectionist

- Good memory and loves learning new stuff but I hate rote learning

- Prefers doing work alone or leading a small group with no one dominating or in a higher position than me. I love being INDEPENDANT

- Hates insects, reptiles, amphibia, Hygiene FreakĀ Ā Ā

- I would prefer a peaceful working environment

- I'm also pretty good at analyzing people (psychology)

- I don't think I can work in big teams (unless I have a leader role) but can work in a group of 3-5

Instructions given should be clear since I get confused and overthink a lot when vague instructions are given

What I wouldn't prefer in a job:
Sitting in front of a computer screen all day
Physically straining job
Late settlement in life, late earning
A job which doesn't give me time to explore my other interests and passions (my creative pursuits)

My goals for the next 10 years:

  1. Travel around the world
  2. Scuba dive, sky dive, climb high mountains, go for ice trek, go for hot air balloon ride and much more adventures
  3. Learn music
  4. Learn cricket
  5. Learn astronomy and medicine (its not like i wanna get degrees in them i just wanna gain knowledge in them)
  6. Do Songwriting/Singing
  7. Write books
  8. Wildlife/Environment conservation or own a business related to eco friendly products
  9. Be rich af cuz I wanna own a Porsche
  10. Buy my parents whatever they want ā¤ļø

I know this list looks kind of kiddish.

Careers I thought of taking up but was unsure:

Medicine
Business related (BBA-MBA)
BTech AI & ML or data science
Environmental science or material science (BS and then MBA)
BS Biology and then phD

You know what? I spent 5k on career counselling. She told me medicine suits me the most out of the career options she ruled out after conducting a psychometric test.
It's kind of unfair that we need to have a career plan in our mind at this mere age.

PLEASE HELP ME OUT

Medicine I am a medical student preparing for neet ug need, help regarding carrier options šŸ˜šŸ˜

my_qualifications is that this is my second attempt in neet and after working hard I'm still getting 250-550 ,500 se uper just in few mock tests . My parents have already spent almost 8+lacs in neet preparation for me.in 3 years and I don't think so I can score more than 550+ in neet and I just don't want to spend more money of my parents in this stupid test . I know I wanted to be a gynecologist but still I'm just getting more depressed day by day . Uper say I want to be financially independent in my early twenties and want to help my parents financially and don't want to stress my parents anymore man . Neet jaise jaise pass ara I'm becoming more nervous and stressed . Is their any better carrier than mbbs which I can pursue in India as I don't want to go to a foreign country or anything . And I am a pcb student .
