America conscripted warfighters also - we called it "the draft." The Selective Service registration is, quite literally, a conscription. Assuming you're an American male, have you done your duty by registering?
Of course, you can avoid conscription in the US - since you're so concerned - by taking a hammer to one of your knees or (as made popular by our President) finding a private doctor to "certify" you have bone spurs. Hope you have money!
I can't speak to the veracity of the videos you reference - and neither can you. So we'll just let that part go.
Conscription is the price of sovereign citizenship.
I, personally, would be utterly ecstatic with a global agreement of peace. I would breathe a grateful sigh of relief to know that no one, ever, would be expected to "die for their country." The ridiculousness of it is intuitively obvious, yes?
Why is it only the price for men if everyone has sovereign citizenship? Do you believe it should be a price that both men and women have (as in, by law rather than being given the option to volunteer) to pay?
Nah, I think the critique was on topic, it was a counterpoint to someone talking about how empathetic Zelensky is. Then, instead of really addressing the critique, the responder decided to bring up how other countries do conscription too.
A: Mr Smith is a great and fair boss!
B: Eh, not really. You know he recently did this really unfair thing, right?
C: So what? This other boss of another company also did something similar!

Our reasoning for this, and we are fully aware there's good content on these systems as well, is to try and drive

more content to be distributed and patronized on smaller sites, whose operators take greater pride in whether
their content helps the community. This is the original spirit of the Internet. It was not intended as a platform

Kinda how conscription works bud...they need you to serve and they expect you to be there by any means. No different than being drafted here in the US.
I’m just laughing at how you weirdos think Zelenskyy is this amazing “man of the people”, while throwing his people against their will into the meat grinder 😂.
I couldn’t give a fuck less about any of them. I’m just pointing out the hypocrisy of the people who think he’s an incredible person.
Meat grinder that's necessary if those men don't want to lose their homes, family or property to Russia. Russian soldiers don't seem to be aware of the Geneva convention.
If we're going into personal attacks, 41M that has never done martial arts and posts about guns? I don't think that fits the bill for a war veteran. Go fight for Russia you little bitch.
Didn't seem to hit a nerve, but most of us would fight to defend ourselves while you seem to be a bottom that would be willing take it without even shedding a tear.
You mean Russian men. The Ukrainians took up arms to protect the sovereignty of their nation by their own free will. In the other hand, many Russian citizens were being forced to join the army against their will....
I looked it up, although you are technically right, your phrasing is wrong 😂.
Military conscription is mandatory for all men from the age of 18 to 60 in Ukraine. Which is why they have to fight, it's mandatory by law (but still voluntary).....
Im sorry to break it to you, but thats how conscription works. Its mandatory. If you wanna take advantage of your rights you should also be ready to defend the way you live.
I cant speak for ukraine in this case but im guessing they deem women unfit to fight, or they are expected to serve the country in some other way such as caring for the wounded, serving food or continuing keeping the civilian structure holding up. I dont know
My country conscripts any ablebodied soldier regardless of gender, but in the end the military isnt an inclusivity party. The country calls those they consider the best fit to defend their country and only that country can answer to why.
As far as I’m aware, pretty early on when the war started, all the Ukrainian males aged between 18 and 60 something were forbidden by law from leaving the country while everyone else had the option of staying or leaving. Which duty do you think the women are being held to by law?
Again, why is it only the men who are legally required to pay in order to ‘take advantage of their rights’?
I stand by my previous answer, i cant speak for ukraine. We can guess but that doesnt do anyone any good. But sitting in a comfortable, peaceful life and criticise conscription in a country defending its sovreignity is ridiculous
Because that's just how the law is. If the ukrainian people want more inclusive conscription laws, they can protest for it, but they don't seem to think that's a pressing issue atm.
Wait until you hear that you redeployed the crew of your only aircraft carrier to Ukraine. Because the Admiral Kuznetsov hasnt even been operational for ten years 😂
He is a great and empathetic human being. Very strong as well. But people are still dying and ending the war should be his number 1 priority. The psycho Putin will not stop....so do anything to end the war.
All these edits won't negate the kids dying, the families being destroyed and the young men watching the world burn around them. Fuck the country. Save those people and end the war.

That is how a real president behaves… you know, like a kind and empathetic human being.
