Gochu60 was a passion project by Susboards from YouTube. It never went to IC or GB and I bought it from him many years ago.
If you know Korean, you know this is a bit of meme board. Gochu (고추/chili pepper) also can mean 'peepee'
Since then, I had an idea to change it up a bit in an attempt to make the board more 'complete' with the theme.
Changes made from original prototype
- re-anodized to RED by Prime Anodizing
- laser engraving of pepper image on the external weight and added text and image on the back corner. done by Eon Machining
- infill texts and image
Build
- Gateron INK v2 Red switches
- Full PC Plate
- GMK Red Devil

Hey, what switches have you bought or tested recently? I have some tips again. :)
Here are the community-favorite keyboard switches for March. This is a montly switch market overview series, based on real sales data provided by vendors and manufacturers.
The gist: https://kbd.news/Best-selling-keyboard-switches-of-March-2025-2627.html
TLDR: 17 contributors, representing almost 1 million switches sold last month, with 18 new switch models appearing first in the top lists and switch database.
Based on the numbers, the overall sales trend for the past month shows a noticeable rebound after February's clear slowdown. In addition, after months of linear hegemony, March was dominated by tactile switches.
Anyway, there's the usual boring aggregated top10 list with well-known switches:
Oil Kings, Gateron Milky Yellow Pro, HMX Xinhai, Gateron Quinn, Morandi, etc.
More interesting are the individual shop top lists with the shop runner's comments.
Finally, there's also the switch database with 300+ switch models ordered by sales as default, prices, availability, etc. -- you can order them by the lowest price as well!
Feel free to share your experiences with recently bought switches.

This was my little project over the last few days.
So this is a KBDfans Dusk 67 kit. Durock Ice King Tactile switches. Gekucap SA keycaps.
Mod-wise I did a lot to try to get some warm resonance out of the wood body and kill of sharp tones. The case is lined with felt and some tape, hollow chamber, tape mod on the back of the PCB with two layers of electrical tape. I also put a magnetic usb adapter on it as I will always do from now on since I mostly use a TV computer for personal stuff and cords have been known to get tripped over (such was the fate of my original ducky that needs some usb port surgery now).
On top There's a poron sheet that came in the kit plus I added poron pads under all of the long keys and under the stabilizer housings. The stabs are greased and lubed as well. I wanted the alphas to pop, but tone down the longer mods a bit, as well as subdue the high frequency clicks in the stabs. I put foam in the spacebar because I actually kind of like the spacebar to be underwhelming instead of overwhelming.
I'm pretty happy with it, Looks can't be beat, sound is mostly spot-on, bottom row needs some tuning to catch up to the pop of the other keys. As I type this I also realize the R3 punctuation is on wrong. It has a nice round pop on the bottom outs and nothing really clicky. The bottom row overall is a little weak, I'll have to tinker there to bring it up. The spacebar doesn't rattle, but it doesn't sound premium either. Not sure if I overmuted it, especially given the weakness of the rest of the row, but it needs some character mixed in I'd say. I took a bit of a chance on the keycaps because I wasn't sure brown keys would work with brown wood and wanted something in a vibrant retro typewriter green but couldn't find the right set. Now that it's together though, I think it looks really great together.
65% is still probably my favorite size, though I have a 60% with standard arrow layout now that is testing that belief and a growing fondness for my new planck 40% as well, but this is far and away the most posh thing I own. It just looks, feels, and sounds premium compared to my duckies and keychron which are just nice plastic keyboards in comparison. My Varmillo has the build quality down, but is otherwise underwhelming. It's almost too nice to use as a daily driver, I don't want anything to happen to it.

I'm restoring an old cherry keyboard and I broke so many traces every step of the way.
I broke traces removing old solder, I broke traces removing old key caps, I broke traces placing new switches, I broke traces placing new keycaps on and now I'm just waiting for more to break for whatever new reason.
If you zoom in on the board you can see all the bare jumper wires restoring many connections. Ignore the flux. This was immediately after fixing 😅

2021 is when a lot of us first join the GB, some might never get it but those of us who ordered thru Ashkeebs finally get to have it!! This was the first GB I ever joined and is probably the last since I never want to go thru this again.

Actually, my first two builds. Started with the numpad, then the 4x12 ortho after I felt comfortable. Been driving daily for about a month now. Both use a pro micro and QMK.

Crush80 (forgot which model) with gateron oil kings, cerakeys and typeplus stabilizers.
Got a few questions. How do I fix the pingy space bar? And also, is it weird that the switches has a slimy sound on the upstroke, or is it because I just lubed it and need break in?

OG Gazzew Boba U4T fanboy here — show me your aged Bobas! I paired mine with V2s for that sweet Yoohoo look.
These ripened Bobas were gifted to me by Gazzew himself — a man who wants nothing more in this world than to spread kindness..
We all live on this planet together, regardless of personal beliefs — so let’s let kindness echo louder than clicks, and compassion type louder than words.

After thousands of hours on my old one I decided to get a new one. Made on the original tooling of the IBM's. These things are absolute tanks.

Had a daisy pcb laying around, and a friend who wanted a 40%. Will post more when finished ;)

The Artifact Bloom set matches my setup better, but prefer the feel of the cheapo Amazon set(Tsungup PBT sub dye). It's on a Keychron Q1 HE. Decisions decisions....

Hello all! Wanted to share this. After recently building myself a Zoom75 and thoroughly enjoying myself, I had to get in on the action. I'd done some research and felt the neo75 cu would be a good shout, we picked a colour and keycap set together and went to a local shop to try out some switches. All in all a wholesome couple activity!
Keyboard: Neo75 Cu, grey-gold with copper bottom, gasket mount. Switches: WuQue Studios Heavy Tactile Keycaps: Keykobo Nama Mods: None, used all the foams (case, PE and poron foam)

Hello this is Cerakey
Spring isn’t just in the air—it’s under your fingers. We're thrilled to introduce the green crazed ceramic keycaps to our crazed family👏👏 . With every keystroke, you can feel the gentle spring breeze.🌱🌱
**********************
✅ Legend Options:
In this batch, all keycap sets except the 4PCs set are available in the legend option.
✅ Keycap Set Availability:
✅ Keycap Compatibility
How do I choose which set to buy?
So far, the Crazed series has three colorways: 🧊Blue Crazed, 🌿Green Crazed, and ❄️White Crazed.
(Our Crazed keycap series has always been our flagship product. However, due to manufacturing difficulties in the uv coating process, launching new colorways in this series has been challenging. The White Crazed color is extremely light, making even the slightest imperfection highly visible. We're currently working to perfect its production process, and as a result, the restock timeline for White Crazed remains uncertain 😭🙏)

Kbdfans D60 Alu x Cerakey WoB
These keycaps aren’t just eye candy—they deliver an excellent typing experience, both in sound and feel. The V2 plastic stems fit snugly on the switches, offering great stability. The spacebar, however, pairs best with a switch that has a heavier spring, since the ceramic material adds a bit of weight.
For HHKB layout users like me, the lack of support for a 1.5u Delete and 1.75u Control key is a bit of a letdown—but aside from that, these keycaps come very close to perfect.
