I dunno, there just doesn't seem to be compelling supporting evidence for that. But it's also really subjective, what's acceptable difficulty for me may not be the case for you. We'll know in a few days anyways!
See the 74+ reviews many mentioning it the easy difficulty, many being first timers even. There is quite literally a plethora of evidence the game is easy.
Of course it's easy, there's a big difference between "most of the content is easy" and "literally nothing in the game can cart you and you are never threatened ever" which is what the other guy is claiming to be worried about.
Every LR/HR game in the last 10 years of the series has had most of the content be easy, that's not a problem for me. If you're a series vet, LR/HR games are essentially glorified demos for the MR expansion. That is not a new phenomenon.
You've made it very clear your not interested in sincerely engaging with me so I'm not sure why you expected one? I'm happy to have an actual discussion but the table stakes are taking each others arguments seriously.
I looked through your post history and you seem pretty miserable to engage with so I'm not gonna bother, but you at least like Monster Sanctuary so there's some hope for everyone I guess! Tried the Aethermancer demo yet? I think it's pretty solid, but I'm a big roguelite guy so it's definitely up my alley.
My guy this is you quite literally saying world is the hardest monsters have been while simultaneously claimi g all games in the last 10 years have been easy.
Dang, I didn't go that far back in post history, seven years ago is a deep cut. I do think that post holds up pretty well though. Luckily, my thinking has also evolved a bit in the intervening half decade.
If you want to sincerely understand my thinking about Wilds, it's basically that I'm not worried about LR/HR content being easy, it generally is. What makes me feel confident about the game is the fact that content creators I trust like SDShepard, Peppo, gaijin-hunter, etc. all seem to really like it. I rate their reviews higher than an IGN guy whose history with the series I don't know anything about, but that's for me personally, it's valid to feel differently.
I also felt the difficulty in the beta felt good, about what I'd expect from a prerelease demo or beta given my experience with those in the past. Finally, for me the MH team hasn't really missed yet, especially on an A-side game like Wilds (I'm less of a fan of the portable games like Rise, but they're still awesome games).
So why would I worry? The reviewers I care about like it, the game felt great to me when I played it, and the MH team hasn't disappointed me yet. There's a first time for everything, and I'll be super bummed if I don't like the game, but I'm just not worried about it. I feel like that's a reasonable stance.
I don't expect you to read all that, but I'm sticking it there to show I made a good faith effort. You seem pretty pissed in your last week or two of posting, so I hope shit is going alright for you, sincerely. Happy to take a DM if you just need someone to scream at, I got two kids so I'm used to it lol. Otherwise, hopefully I'll catch you on the hunt.
Your original argument is that there is "no evidence" to suggest it might be easy. There is factual evidence that you have no rebuttal for and then attempt to hand wave away any evidence as insincere while attempting to be vaguely nice.
You are the definition of the crying dude behind the mask lmao
