MH Wilds Some guy was pissed about shielded weapons

I joined this quest to hunt a tempered Arkveld because it had a unholy amount of rewards and this guy was who I joined was running the hunting horn. Anyhow this guy began to get angry because he was trying to max out DPS or something. To be honest I don't know but anyhow, he wasn't happy that I was using Gunlance and told me to get off it for two reasons, weapons with guards are inherently no skill by design, and guarding takes away from DPS. Anyhow he proceeded to text something to the other guy who joined which was a SnS telling him to get off SnS or don't block. He spent most of the hunt texting lmao

This isn't anything extreme but it was amusing to me and I wanted to share

Gunlance meta is actually just charging shells into wf over and over again

I don’t think that’s accurate? Everything I’ve seen speedrun and meta-wise is all about setting up for full bursts. Charged shells ARE good for getting WF back but just doing that repeatedly is not optimal, at least as I understand it.

You would be correct, full burst into WF makes the WF come out much quicker. And to add onto the main post, perfect guard into WF does the same thing, so a good GL user will be perfect guarding as much as they can for quick WF and Full bursts

I'm at the point with both of them that if the monster doesn't attack me, I'm mad. Let me get my guards!
