By far the biggest thing we remove here is people trying to find or let rooms, sell tickets, and other bits and bobs.
But likely not enough to survive on its own as a dedicated sub. So we'll carve out this space here. Please use it to list anything you're interested in, or are trying to part with.
And be mindful of who you give your personal details out to! We'll not be providing escrow or verification!

Myself and my fiancé have just started to install a fence in our garden and it’s proving more difficult than we anticipated (as these things often do!).
The garden is on a slope (thanks Sheffield!) and the fence is big (18 panels) plus the ground isn’t easy to dig and the slope doesn’t help as it’s difficult to get your footing as it is).
Is this the sort of thing that day labourers could help us with? I have no experience of this. Or is it something a fence company could help with even though we have all of the materials already.
If anyone has any advice, that would be great, including the going-rate for such help.
Many thanks :)

Any reasonably priced function rooms for a party of 50-100 people? Hoping for under £500 and in town, kelham , S10 or S6

Just wanted a bit of advice, I'm looking up to 250k and probably a terrace. What's the market like in terms of offers around/over or below asking price. I read some areas are going for 10% over asking. Thanks

I'm considering getting a typewriter and I'd love to buy it in a brick and mortar store if it's possible. If not, I'd probably resort to Ebay but I think I might still need to get it repaired from time to time.
Any leads appreciated, thanks!

Not been to Western Park for a good few months so sorry if this is old news
The Pete McKee exhibition “The Boy with a leg called Brian” is utterly fantastic. We took the kids to the museum (10+6) and spent the majority of the time in that exhibition. This never happens, they normally itching to move on after 10 to 15 minutes

Hey Sheffield! I’ve got some BIG news! Changes are coming to the Strange Sheffield Ghost Tours and I’m moving the City Centre Tours start point to the beautiful courtyard in Leah's Yard! 😍
And, to coincide with the move, I’m giving our tours new names:
To celebrate, the FIRST tour of each route is just £5 + booking fee!
You can grab your discount tickets on the following link:
https://strangebritain.eventbrite.com
Plus, on top of that, April sees us hosting another Evening With The Lady in the Bay Window, this time at Sheffield Plate, where you can hear stories about number 333 from the man who lives them: William C Grave, author of the best selling The Lady in the Bay Window, a book that has now raised over £40,000 for Cavendish Cancer Care.
Plus, as a special treat, those present at that event will be the first in the country to see the cover for the sequel!

Need a good place to watch the match today that's not going to be too loud or busy. Preferably around s6, Kelham or Town, any recommendations? Cheers

I go to the Crucible for the main event but I was looking at the qualifier draw and there's some classic and up and coming matches that might be fun.
Some of the potential matches I worked out include Vafaei vs Milkins, Jack Lisowski vs. Reanne Evans, Matthew Selt vs Stan Moody. Jimmy White will be there.
But £12 for a day out at the snooker is low stakes sports-fanning if you've wondered what watching snooker is like. I think Discovery+ will have them on TV too.

I want to move to Sheffield - The last time I moved to a new city was when I moved to Leeds for uni and I went into student accommodation. How would I prepare to move to Sheffield?
I've looked for facebook groups but theres so much spam on there! I'd also prefer housemates who are LGBT friendly. I've found one facebook group for that and it's pretty dead.
Also, what areas are gonna be low rent?

Going need to start getting the tram but can't seem to buy a standard 28 day ticket
The website says its available on the app, however the app only shows the student 28 day ticket
Is there something that needs to be done to get the standard 28 day ticket to show, or is there another way to purchase it?
Thanks for any help 😊

Hey I do photography and went to Barnsley as somewhere new and different as I have done Sheffield to death
Any ideas of where to go tomorrow that's within walking distance of just outside the city centre?

As per title, yellow 4x4 rounded Westwood onto Oakwood and some shoes fell into the road. They were possibly accidentally left on the roof? We’ve handed them to a local business where you can pick them up. Message me with a description of the shoes and I’ll let you know where to get them from

So basically a house a few streets down from us has been having new groups of people staying in the house every other day and then when they move out someone will come clean it out and change the bedding.
Recently a group of people have parties, invite a bunch of ppl over, do a bunch of drugs and play music really loud and leave massive amounts of rubbish all down the street. But most of the time it’s just either tame parties or people just staying over for a night.
We tried googling the address for ainbnbs or something like that but there wasn’t anything showing up. It’s not a particularly nice area too haha.
Anyways, just looking for what this house could be if anyone has any theories it would help out how curious we are lolll
