Trump is literally saying "the tarrifs may hurt now but true Americans will endure for the good times to come!" I live in Albania and the propaganda back during communism was literally this, "sure we are in a slump for now, but true Albanians will endure this for the good times to come!" and it never came. Late stage capitalism is just authoritarian communism with different names.
