Just read an article titled: "China, South Korea and Japan plan to respond to Trump's tariffs together."
So much winning.

If you have those three countries working together on something, you know you fucked up!!

I remember when this subreddit gargled on republicans nutsacks daily and bashed Kamala.

u/SeekerOfExperience 4d ago
I am only in my 30s but have seen this cycle play out more than once (not just on Reddit obviously). Republicans branded themselves as the party of “fiscal responsibility” and it has had amazing staying power despite all of the evidence to the contrary

I'm a particular fan of the cycle picture that was posted over on Fluent In Finance a few days ago describing how Republicans create hostile economic conditions, people vote for democrats to attempt to fix things, people are dissatisfied that it's not being fixed/regrown infinitely at infinitely growing rates, so they vote Republicans back into office...

Easy to gargle when the economy is doing well and the potential it could be better. Then reality smacks them in the face, as it does every time, and they want to go back to "economy is doing well but could be better."

What could be better than 20% YOY returns on indexes, low unemployment, inflation under control etc lmao republicans are totally insane. Fox News worked magic tricking magats into thinking Bidens economy was in shambles. He inherited trumps PPP loan induced mega inflation and stabilized us post COVID.
→ More replies (4)9
u/Jason1143 4d ago
There were and are good reasons why a good stock market is not the only thing that matters. The economy had and continues to have problems, even under Biden.
But Trump has absolutely no plan or desire to fix the problems. He wants to make them worse if anything. They are complex problems with complex solutions.
The thing with Democrats vs Republicans is that most of the bad things I criticize the Dems for the Rs also do, often worse. But there are plenty of bad things that the Rs do that the Dems do not.
