My tangle keeps breaking.

I wouldn't usually make a post about this but it's driving me insane. Like a month ago my first tangle (Tangle Jr. glow in the Dark) broke. When I already bought it, it came out of the package broken and gladly the store I got it from gave me a replacement piece. I didn't think a lot of it and thought it was a factory mistake because the both sides of the joint were flat.

Now with the tangle I own, I had been using it for less than 2 months, and it also broke! I had a huge meltdown because of it because I took it with me everywhere and it's the first fidget to actually help me regulate. 7€ personally is a lot to take out of pocket.

Now, a month later with my new tangle, it happened again. Exept I've been having this one for less than a month. To specify, no I don't take it apart, I have considerably weak hands and it still breaks. I also avoid twisting it to its original packaging shape because I noticed that also puts pressure on the joints and I wanted to make it last as long as possible. I haven't seen anybody posting about this before so I'll do it myself.

I don’t have a picture of the first one that I got a replacement for, but I have pictures for all the other tangles that broke. As in the second picture I linked, it's always snapped off, the whole joint, completely. It's lodged in so hard too it's an impossible fix and I tried to even take it out by a needle which shoved it even deeper in.

Now the third one is the one I broke today. Again snapped off the same way. I wasn't as pissed this time because I had replacement pieces ready from the last one I broke.

In the fourth picture when I was trying to take the replacement one,, it also broke! What a suprise!

Fifth picture, when I was trying to put another piece in that I took off carefully (they're really hard to attach so it might be also that I put too much pressure) That broke too. I'm pretty fed up now but at least I have a full tangle again since I somehow got it done.

Sixth is just to show how many pieces broke during everything. The circle one I made I just glued together because it was when I couldn't get the new tangle yet and I just wanted to keep some of it with me because I like the texture.

The two links left to it were ones I tried to fix by gluing but now they don't come apart at all, I think the glue might've went into wrong places, not all the other ones under it are ones that I did correctly but whole trying to pull the joint out to get it to move again, the glue snapped.

The ones above the not broken tangle are the two pieces I can still use for replacement. Not to mention every time it breaks it takes two pieces with it because the end stays lodged in and the other piece is snapped off.

In total I now have 14 broken pieces. In the end of my complaint, I don't believe they should advertise it as a fidget toy. They're known for used to regulate a person, there will be force used and it should be able to withstand pressure. This tangle doesn't check any of them. Overpriced piece of plastic.

Looking for a fidget toy!

Hey everyone!

I’d really love a small, pocket sized fidget toy. Something quiet, or subtle, that I can keep on my pocket throughout the day! I really like those sliders?

I have one that’s machined from brass and I love it but it leaves my hands smelling like the metal

And preferably in black!

Hi, I worked on a few magnetic fidget sliders with special inlays. Made from billiard balls and set in a 3d printed base. I printed it on my Bambu Lab P1S with glow in the dark filament.

Cheers Mark

Custom Fidget bracelet

My dad made me a fidget toy when I was younger, it was the first one I've ever had, I wanted to remake it, I got some bike chain and a chain tool, remade it. Then I had the idea to turn it into a bracelet. Does this look tacky? Two of the links friction fit together and hold pretty well to form the bracelet. I'm proud of it, but worried it might be tacky or crude in other people's eyes.

Hi, I've never posted on Reddit before but for some reason I've become emotionally attached to this cute little pig mochi and my brain wants more of them, but I can't find this exact one. If anyone is bored, I'd be forever in your debt if you could find it for me lol.

Undercover fidget spinner - spinning sterling silver and topaz pendant

I know this one doesnt spin as long as the big ones, but it also looks really fancy and not like a fidget. I did make this one by hand - with the exception of the bearing. The bearing is stainless steel i sourced.
Just for full disclosure I do sell this and often make the design only one or two times. (and also keep a few for myself...)

Ordering from AliExpress?

Still a newbie here,

after doing my research and sourcing couple of different shops to buy EDCs I've also realized one could buy via AliExpress - which is quite attractive for me as I'm ordering out of Germany and taxes on top can be quite high.

So my question is: what do I need to keep in mind when ordering authentic EDCs via AliExpress? Especially how can be sure the sold item is an authentic one?

WITH PICS- Eyeing this cart from Lautie? (also what's on my desk, collection, and on the way.. )

Hi,

I'm new to this and find myself going down the rabbit hole.

I'd love your thoughts on what you guys think of my collection, what I should add, and especially if these new things I am eyeing from Lautie are a good addition.

Also, what should I consider removing or canceling, which is on order?

Many thanks.

In my experience with other things, for example, headphones or IEMs, I tend to buy a lot of moderately priced stuff only to find I have so many that I can't use them all, so I trade up for something better. This may not be the best comparison as fidgets are different and can easily be picked up without swapping cables, etc., but you get the idea.

Wanwu Breaker Howitzer Id number?

I notice that the number under “TITAN” is different between ones I’ve seen in videos and the one I own. I’ve see 03, 918, 1268.

Does this correlate to how many were actually produced?

Does anyone know how many were actually made?

What do the various springs included with some fidgets do?

For example the HE EDC Ling Yun and Chenyu Guardian come with extra springs of various lengths. What are these for and what do the lengths do to change the feel?

Fidget Toy to Replace Rubbing my Hair

Does anyone have any suggestions for fidget toys to replace rubbing your hair? I don’t pull my hair but as long as I can remember I have always played with it in a very specific way, rubbing it between two fingers because it feels so nice and soft. I want to try to stop because I do it so often that sometimes it hurts my hands/wrists to the point where I guess it’s almost carpal tunnel. I’ve seen some posts with people suggesting a fidget toy made of synthetic hair or cutting some of my own and turning that into a fidget toy but I prefer the texture of my own hair vs synthetic. Additionally I don’t want to walk around with hair in my pocket 😅 lol so any other suggestions or ideas are greatly appreciated!

A slider that isn't as loud?

Hi all, I just recently bought this slider and I'm new to fidget toys. I really enjoy the feel of it, however it is very loud.

Do you have any recommendations for a slider (I really like the 3 layers) that isn't as loud? My roommate can hear it from his room.

Also, I bought this from Amazon. I'm not trying to break the bank, but would love to buy from other sources.

I might be looking for a unicorn...

So, I've been a long-time fidget user but lurker here. I have my collection and actually more than I need. I recently met my son's new girlfriend and I noticed over the few days I spent with her that she fidgets. Always playing with her fork or spoon during meals, tearing up a plastic cup while were out at a park, stuff like that.

She was a delightful girl and I thought a fidget would be a really nice little gift for her. I mentioned it to my son, and even told him I was going to get her flux INDX because of its simplicity, beauty, quiet and aesthetics. To me, for under $100, it is the full package. He told me he thought that would be a wonderful gift, but that he thought she would works from home and he thought she would prefer something that clicked.

That brings me to my first post here.

Can anyone recommend a clicker or any fidget that has a nice sound to it -- that is also aesthetically beautiful? Something that might feel a little more for a female? Extra, extra points if it has somewhat of a Zen vibe. Because this is a gift, even more extra points if it comes well packaged (again, the INDX crushes this). Also, I'd probably put the budget at something reasonable. Ideally $100 or less...but maybe more. Finally, I'm sure I'll get some offers to sell a piece -- but I would like this to be new from the maker.

Thanks so much in advance for recommendations.

EDC brands?

Hey everyone,

I'm super new to the world of EDCs but got sucked into it quite heavy. When doing my research about where I can purchase a couple of these I realized there seems to be quite a few brands - like MOT or YEDC. What was weird to me is that there absolutely no way to something like an internet presence of these brands. I was searching high and low but couldn't source any social media account of these nor a website.

I only found these very specific shops like fablades, geeone or metaedc but can maybe someone explain to me why these brands don't have any own internet presence please?

Calling picky pad users

I recently got a remeltable one for myself to help with my hair pulling and it’s helping me immensely.

One problem, I don’t have a microwave. Does anyone know if I could instead remelt it in a bowl in a saucepan of warm water? I can’t find info on this anywhere but surely there has to be another way?
