Ok so first off I get it I am the odd one out. I carry a 5in vice grip and a 6 in 1 screwdriver in my back pocket along with a deluxe tinker as my knife. The knife changes now and then. I did carry a surge on my hip every day for years and love it but I found I need full tool so much I just carry them. I did start with a the screwdriver and water pump pliers. The 7in wiha are a replacement for a 7in channel locks that wore out and they work amazing. but I found the ability that locking pliers gave me I just couldn’t pass up so I switched to carrying the locking pliers and the 6 in 1 in my back pocket everyday. Now on to my question do you all find small 4in tools or smaller worth carrying. what do you end up using them for. I mean I do find myself using the little pliers on the tinker now and then but I grab my locking pliers or something bigger 99% of the time. Maybe I just run into bigger stuff from day to day. I am a believer in carry what you need and use it. And just want to know how the small tools work out thanks so much

I owned a lawn and landscape business for 12 years and started a new job in outside sales at the end of last summer. I’ve always naturally been disorganized which is why I carry the moleskine. There’s a lot that has changed in my day to day, I take more notes for phone calls, a lot more paperwork, I carry business cards everywhere with me, I use a pen more, I’m on my cell phone taking pictures more, I’m way less sweaty than I used to be, I sit more than I ever have, I use my key ring more often, the list goes on. My pants have changed, my jackets have changed, I now carry a messenger bag, like my whole life is different- you get the picture.

I’m looking for new stuff. Stylish stuff is a plus but not a must. I think I need a new carabiner, probably upgrade the pen cartridge, and most importantly I need to do something about organizing my notes. Maybe the old pocket notebook isn’t the move anymore, maybe I need something bigger but thats what I need help with. What are you guys using for notes and organization?

After a long wait, I’ve finally gotten my hands on my first Alpaka Elements Backpack Pro! Super excited about it. Just curious—has anyone here with an Alpaka bag ever added a patch to theirs?

Any tips on the best way to attach a patch? I’m wondering if gluing or sewing it directly onto the bag might mess with its water resistance. Thoughts?
