Open. [TOMT] please help me find a song that may have been wiped from existence!

Ive been looking for the song for over 10 years now. The only thing I’ve been able to find is another Reddit post from 5 years ago that explains the same music video.

The music video is in black and white and starts with shots of men one at a time. They’re in a fighting pose and have red stuff all over their face. That’s the only coloured thing in the video.

It then goes to a shot of a woman in a fighting pose also with red all over her face. The music video ends with finding out that it was a pie eating contest the whole time. The red stuff was pie filling and the woman wins.

The only lyric I remember is “today is the greatest day. Go get em. It’s your time to pay.”

Certain parts might be different. “Today is YOUR greatest day” and “ it’s THEIR time to pay” might also be the lyric.

Please tell me someone knows this song. It was shown on much music or mtv in Canada, early 2000’s.

Solved [TOMT] A song I really liked about two years ago is almost impossible to find because of its generic name.

The song was called “Home” and I recall it having a game boy in Christmas lights with a purple overlay. The song made me crazy with how much I enjoyed it but now I can’t remember a thing about it besides the name and album cover. I’d be very grateful if it could be found

Open [TOMT] Please help me find gothic(ish) song I have been looking for like 5 years

Upvotes

This song starts with a voicemail message and has female vocals - it was on SoundCloud. I found it on the likes or reposts of either an artist called doves (part of gothboiclique) or hucci I can’t remember which one. Some of the lyrics are “does it get easier” “we can make a brand new home” “leave a message at the tone” “I think I’m better off alone”

It’s like a very slow beat that is kind of hard to describe but it is a beat I don’t think it’s instruments. She starts off the song (after the voicemail) almost talking and I think the first line is does it get easier I still think about you every day I’ve been losing sleep(something like this) and then she starts really singing the lyrics I mentioned earlier.

If you have any questions that may help you find it please let me know! If it’s probably gone forever and I should give up, also let me know :( thanks.

Solved [TOMT] Story/description from reddit about what it is like to try heroin

There was a really well written anecdote here (not spontaneousH's story) about what it is like to try heroin that starts making it sound great but then quickly gets more and more terrifying as the addiction sets in. Some key paraphrased lines from it were "it's like an angel wraps it's wings around you and lifts a weight off your shoulders you never knew existed" "it's 10 bucks at first and you think oh for a whole weekend of fun that's pretty inexpensive" "but then suddenly 10 bucks doesn't get you as much as it did, you need five times that to barely feel a pale comparison of what you felt before"

Open [TOMT][movie][1970s] A series of shorts that used to be played before midnight movies in the 1970s.

Funny and based around a group of guys riding imaginary horses. Kinda like in Quest for the Holy Grail. Possibly called something similar to “Horseless Riders.” Asking for an older friend of mine. He thinks early 70s but could be later 70s or late 60s.

Open [TOMT] [Song] [2000’s?] Looking for a song that I swear I’ve heard at Spirit Halloween

I’ve heard this song other places as well but couldn’t tell you where. I checked the Spirit Halloween playlist but none of the songs seemed to be what I was looking for. The closest sound-wise I would say is probably the Yeah Yeah Yeah’s or maybe Paramore??? I can’t for the life of me remember the lyrics. Nothing I searched came back with anything close. The singer was definitely a female. My guess for the year would be the early 2000’s though it could be earlier or later. Hopefully the Vocaroo helps somewhat, I’m tone death so I apologize in advance.

Open [TOMT]Please help me find this old cartoon/movie

Hi everyone, I’m trying to remember the name of an animated movie I watched as a kid in the early 2000s. I’m pretty sure it was a Miramax-distributed film, but I’m not entirely certain. Here’s what I remember about it:

Tone: The movie had a dark and eerie vibe, definitely not a light-hearted children's film. It had some surreal and mystical elements that felt a bit unsettling.

Plot: It seemed like an adventure movie, with an older woman (who might’ve been a witch or mystical character) as one of the key figures. There was a giant robot that the characters had to defeat, and they did so in some way (not sure exactly how). The robot might’ve been mechanical, and it had a big presence in the film.

Other characters: I remember there was a cat, but it wasn’t the main character. The cat may have been involved in some way, but wasn’t a central figure.

Animation style: The style was older, hand-drawn, and 2D animation, not like the polished CGI we see today. The whole movie had a kind of classic, fantasy animation feel.

Bonus detail: The movie was included as a second feature or bonus short on a DVD disc that had a different main movie (possibly something like 80 Days Around the World or another adventure-style film). Does anyone know what this movie is? I’d love to track it down, but I’m struggling to remember the title!

Sorry if this does not make much sense, I tried to list every single thing I remembered. I hope you can help me with this, I’ve been trying to find this for years and I couldn’t get anything useful.

Open [TOMT] Book, only remember the cover.

I only remember small bits and the cover. The cover was black, and had a drawing of outlines almost in different colors. It was of a car swerving down a road at night, with it having two people in it, a kid and a man. The story was non-fiction and was about a kid growing up with his mom and his abusive step dad, who was a native. One big scene was of him planning on running away with his friend who he started having gay feelings for, but changed his mind last minute.

Solved [TOMT] 90's TV show I can't for the life of me find.

(First time using Reddit but I didn't know where else to turn).

In the mid to late 1990's on Ft. Hood Texas I was a lucky kid that had a television in their room. Of course I hooked by it warm glow. I saw shows that pre-internet me would try to remember forever and ask my peers about. Some they seen, others I had to wait and play internet detective for. There was one show that was burned into my memory that none else had seen or I can't find on the web. 30 years may have muddled some of my memory.

It was a formated like a Believe it or not knock off. It had a single bald male presenter. While the show went from subject to subject it had a small, imp like version of him mucking about. I remember the imp being either fully red or blue. I'm pretty sure it was from Canada, as at the end that small guy graffitied the seal of the Canadian flag after the credits ran.

I know I didn't imagine it because the only segment I can recall had a demonstration of Vastra Dhauti. That seared itself into my mind forever. How would a young me even know how to imagine that?

If anyone can help, thank you, to those that try I appreciate your attempt.

Open [TOMT][Video] CoD Zombies YouTube video

Upvotes

Hello all! I am trying to find a very old YouTube video where it was a parody of a Six Flags amusement park video but made in Call of Duty WaW zombies. It had a female announcer and the “We like to party” background music, it also had a back and forth reverse shot of a zombie chasing them to mimic dancing. If I could get any help trying to find it, that would be awesome!

Open [TOMT] I'm looking for a A10 Game I use to play.

Upvotes

It was a 2D car game that was in a dirt stadium like that you would have for monster trucks, but the objective of the game was to launch your car into a stack of cars and destroy them all. The game had low graphics. Time period 2010-2016ish.

Solved [TOMT] cartoon piano episode

When I was younger I would watch a lot of random cartoons (idk when this cartoon was made but I watched it around 2013)

all I can remember about the episode:

there was some sort of piano thing going on and the main girl character was jealous of the boy character because he was better at piano than her.

She sits at the piano at some point and starts singing about the boy while playing music, I can’t remember his name but it went “[name] plays too much he really plays too much he plays when he’s nervous and when he’s calm” I can’t not for the life of me find the name of the piano music but it’s a popular beginner classical song.

There were pink and blue cupcakes and I think the girl steals the boys cupcake?

The tv show was in 2d from what I remember.

Any help is greatly appreciated! This has been stuck in my head for the past week and I haven’t been able to find anything on it. I honestly wanna make sure I didn’t have some crazy dream.

Open [TOMT] Video Clip on Having Kids?

Alright so I saw this tv show clip a while back that I can't find.

It was of some sitcom I never watched.

Where some dad or granddad is talking about having kids (maybe at a wedding?) And talks about how when you have kids, the kid is always changing, but you never have time to miss the newborn cuz now you have a baby, then you don't miss the baby cuz you have a toddler, and so on, But then they grow up and move out and all of a sudden you lose all the versions of the kid at once.

Any idea what the clip is?

Open [TOMT] Movie or TV show that quote/saying is from

There's a funny quote/saying along the lines of "I knew they said people changed as they get older, I just didn't think it was all in one weekend."

I think it was in the context of a character's parents acting funny/bonkers during a visit. Something along those lines about aging and acting strange/different.

I can't for the life of me figure out what movie/TV show it's from. Any ideas?

Open [TOMT] [MOVIE?] [2010'S]

Upvotes

Movie or shortfilm about a probably Korean grandma. Many years ago (2015-2017 maybe), I saw a YouTube video that started with an old lady on a rural setting, maybe mountains or something, I remember it had lots of green, trees and bushes. I remember she was partially blind? and that she grabbed one of her chickens, killed it, and made it into broth to go visit her daughter, who lived in the city with her young daughter. The old lady's daughter seemed very busy and annoyed with her mother's presence yet let her in, and the grandma served her the kid the broth, yet I think it was raw or bad. It could've been a short film or a part of a movie, and I can't find anything about it. It isn't "The way home", though I think it was Korean or Asian. Please help me find it!

Open [TOMT] GTA RP TikTok video Central Cee

Upvotes

I’ve looked multiple times manually for this video, it was published around late 2020, I think October 20th but I might be wrong, although it was posted in late 2020 that I remember for sure, it was a GTA RP UK Server, Franklin was in an orange Nike Tech talking to a cop, and there was another person who came in and I think then Franklin hit the cop and started running, the song that was playing was “Loading” by Central Cee, I’ve been trying to find this for AGES, it’s the first uk drill song I ever heard and it got me hooked, fastfoward 4 and 1/2 years UK music is almost all I listen to (I’m from the US). PLEAESE HELP ME FIND IT

Open [TOMT] someone falls out a window into a corn field and doesn't have a nose

Upvotes

(reposting cuz I forgot to comment) I saw this years ago, maybe around 2012 but it seemed like a much older movie. I was flipping through tv channels and very briefly saw what looked like a woman falling or being pushed out of a window, falling in a corn field, and standing up without a nose. I'm not 100% sure if that's what really happened because I couldn't see very well, it was staticky, but that's what happened to my knowledge and I've been trying to find it ever since

Open [TOMT] [PS2 GAME] [1999~2003] I'm looking for a campy atv game. What little I remember of it I know it wasn't atv VS mx or atv offroad fury. Those games are more serious and realistic. This is a game that certainly didn't have the budget for any licensing or advanced physics, much less a sequel.

Upvotes

Main details I remember : -campy cartoony tone -when you chose your atv / offroad vehicle the driver came with it like for example a big buff guy with spike hair would come with the big red tanky atv, the girl in a crop top would ride the pink BMX. Stuff like that. -the tracks were through adventurous environments. I only remember one race where you go through a tunnel that runs next to a cliff so if you went too far left you'd fall into the mist and die. -it was also split screen too if that helps.

Open [TOMT] The original to this cover song (probably from the 80s)

Upvotes

https://youtu.be/JWCruqfXh5M?feature=shared

I'm pretty sure that this is actually a cover from an 80s song in which a woman sings the vocals. Especially the chorus sounds very similar. Unfortunately, I have nothing more to go on. Thanks!

Open [TOMT][Movie] Looking for a retro comedy – African American lead actor, weird chicken car scene

Upvotes

Hey movie detectives! I’m trying to identify a bizarre comedy film (probably from the 80s, 90s, or early 2000s) that’s been stuck in my head like a chicken in a sunroof.

Here’s what I remember:

A guy (possibly played by Will Smith or Eddie Murphy) is hitchhiking down a rural road. He gets picked up by a slightly unhinged farm lady in a car absolutely full of live chickens.

She puts a chicken cage on his lap, looks at him, and says in a flirtatious, dead-serious tone: “Chickens don’t have lips.”

Then she makes a kissy face at him. Just to really drive home the fact that she does.

I think she might’ve been a ghost or some kind of supernatural chicken witch, but that part might be all in my head.

If anyone knows what this hilarious fever dream of a movie is, please let me know—this mystery is driving me cluckin' crazy.

Solved [TOMT][MOVIE] My theater once accidentally showed the wrong movie. Instead of Belle and Sebastian, my class saw some very cheap, badly animated, foreign Aladdin ripoff.

The title in my language was "Aladdin and the flying carpet" but I can't find the movie using that title. And the footage I do find using my mother language is very limited (I could show you screenshots if the sub allowed it)

The movie starts with Aladdin, who's like 10 years old in this version, playing a flute before his Goat companion (doesn't talk) baaws for him to take her to his mother so she can be milked. The Goat does a potty dance and sprays Aladdin's face with milk which makes him finally take her home. After eating, Aladdin goes to his neighbor who makes carpets and his neighbor tells him that one of the carpets can take Aladdin to a place where he can retrieve the diamond he lost many years ago. Aladdin is left alone, one of the carpets comes to life, Aladdin and Goat hop on, Aladdin tells his mom mid-flight that he'll be back and they go to another town. They meet an girl his age and two younger kids. The villains are revealed to be a bipedal white rat (think Master Splinter but with white fur) and a very fat, gluttonous emperor. The movie happens, and it turns out the girl Aladdin meets is actually the "diamond" his neighbor loved so much so he brings her home, and daughter and dad hug after so many years. The End.
