Ur gonna inspire all of us degenerates to try and copy u, and we're all gonna end up broke, homeless, and divorced.

16

u/Lolthelies 17d ago

Yeah, thousands or tens of thousands of people “tried” to do the same thing over this time period, but it’s like picking your brackets for the NCAA tournament. You might as well throw shit at the wall and pick based off that and someone’s shitstain is going to be the lucky one

2

u/MojoRisin762 17d ago

That's the entire point of these constant 100% unverifiable posts......

u/SameMeat8553 18d ago

lemme hold $100k… I can flip it to $0k real quick bruh😇

82

u/HomeyKrogerSage 18d ago

That's nothing, dm me OP, I can push you to $0M in a week

44

u/QuantumQuark69 18d ago

My brain wants to argue that 0 M is greater than 0 k

11

u/Sirqoh 18d ago

Since 0M is larger, would it mean it has more 0s in place, thus making it actually smaller?

3

u/SpiffingAfternoonTea 17d ago

Well obviously, if you double 0M to 1M that's ten times bigger than 1k

4

u/Dry_Neighborhood_738 18d ago

Well I can push it to $00M

9

u/1masp3cialsn0wflak3 18d ago

Can I buy puts on your position?

87

u/xxquikmemez420 18d ago

Your first profit was +9k at 182% meaning your initial investment was 5k on that alone tho?

5

u/1acedude 6d ago

It clearly goes back earlier tho. He sold a $900 Netflix call on 1/22 but there’s no page of him buying that call. But he clearly is legit on this run he just didn’t show back to the $800 start

u/iphonehome9 18d ago

Once in a lifetime run. Too bad you only started with $800.

1.5k

u/Optimal-Description8 18d ago

It would have been so much easier to reach 100k if he just started with 200k, is he stupid?

94

u/SpiritualPurple9025 18d ago

He’s a regard. Clearly

13

u/havnar- 18d ago

Hold my bags, I’ll show you how this is done!

151

u/Accomplished_Use27 18d ago

Lmao looks like he had more than 800 to start from the pictures :p

11

u/Starting_Aquarist 17d ago

this is why people lose so much money on this sub. they don't know math. initial positions profits dont match the $800 to start with, even AFTER losing $100 on his first trade.

164

u/anon_user3468 18d ago

I may be wrong but I am a regard, maybe someone could point out where I’m wrong if I am … Starting a robinhood account with only $800 he would have to be on a cash account and would be limited with his ability to buy and sell on the same day, with a cash account it takes a day for funds to settle and you’re only limited to 5 “day trades” in one week so I don’t think the timing lines up for this to truly have been started with only $800. I know this because I have started with only $500 and it’s almost impossible to buy calls and flip them this consistently without the account being flagged .. he is showing his realized profits and losses but he is not showing us when they were bought and for how much .. his first profitable trade was for 9k with a 182% profit meaning the initial investment on that call alone was about 5k .. how did he get from $800 to 5k?

72

u/MrStickDick 18d ago

Thanks I thought I was stupid and bad at math... Glad I'm just stupid

43

u/im_wrong_but_listen 18d ago

Cash accounts don't have pattern day trading rule. Only margin accounts with less than 25k are limited trades

52

u/anon_user3468 18d ago

Yes but cash accounts take a day to settle so you can’t buy and sell so close together

46

u/racerx1913 18d ago

I am convinced that all of you lose money because you don’t even know how brokers even work. I have a cash account and I day trade almost every day. If you buy a SPY contract and you put up $100 to buy that contract, you only use $100 of your buying power. That settles the next day and you can use it again +/- any gains or loses.

→ More replies (1)

4

u/Brilliant-Space3066 17d ago

He could take 4 trades of 200 dollars and close them all same day, so it’s very possible. Then the cash is settled overnight and fully available next day.

11

u/ZealousidealHall8975 18d ago

Yep you’ll get slapped with free ride violations otherwise

6

u/staunch_character 18d ago

I’m curious how long OP held some of these for.

He’s not only buying 0DTE like the rest of us regards

2

u/coloredzebra 18d ago

Pretty easy on the right side of the trade, especially with volatility, just near impossible to replicate. E.g. if you had $800 today, someone contracts on Spx intraday went $4 -> $34 today.

49

u/BalrogintheDepths 18d ago

The math ain't mathing. He started with more but the gains are still amazing.

12

u/Ok-Cause2093 18d ago

You started with more and ended up with less

3

u/BoltActionRifleman 18d ago

I read his post title as he started with $800k instead of just $800 and was thinking where the heck are all of the losses. Finding your comment finally cleared that up for me.

40

He clearly didn’t start with 800. Look at his % gains on every single win. He’s using significantly more capital than 800.

23

u/Otherwise-Ad6670 17d ago

His first trade even is a loss of 100% or $111 lol so he would have $700 remain after in that case. This dude is lying through the teeth

15

u/justKingme187 17d ago

I haven't tried option trading yet. Are taxes worse with options? Or are you just exaggerating cap gains tax?

20

u/Comfortable-Volume12 18d ago

Always overestimate taxes so I can pay myself a bonus after taxes are done.

9

u/dabbydaberson 18d ago

Yeah and if you make enough, make sure you pay them quarterly or they fine you.

7

u/ShoppingHuman6096 18d ago

Short term cap gains doesn’t matter if options or shares if held for less than a year

11

u/burtmacklin15 18d ago

Gains on options or shares held less than a year are short term capital gains.

You belong here.

Overrated comment, the hookers hit different at 60 and by then the 30k in taxes you saved will only net you a few bonus hookers.

u/microww 17d ago

54

16

Well he makes money while you making nothing

2

u/lilldance 18d ago

how much would be his taxes ?

5

u/Powerful-Injury5793 18d ago

It’s taxed as ordinary earned income, so depends on his other earnings. I would imagine $10-$20k tax bill, but again totally depends on total income.

how many contracts do you buy at a time and what were your first couple flips that were doubling your return at 800?

6

u/justKingme187 18d ago

What was the first play was it the $800 to 9k qqq call ?

21

u/anon_user3468 18d ago

It wouldn’t make sense because the profit on that trade was 182% which means his initial investment was around 5k in order to make 9k .. I think he left out the early trades .. if I’m wrong I would def need an explanation lol

8

u/Swyk94 18d ago

Yeah had the same conclusion as u. But the be fair, if he could’ve gotten 5k to 100k, that $800 to 5k would be quite insignificant as well.

Mans lucked out this run or he’s really good

3

u/anon_user3468 18d ago

Its the trading timeline idk if it would work out, he would need a margin account to make all those trade so close together and you need 25k to day trade with a margin account

→ More replies (6)

2

u/anon_user3468 18d ago

Getting from 800 to 5k is pretty difficult without being able to consistently day trade, he def started this account with more than 800$

3

u/YouTac11 18d ago

Something most wallstreetbetters don't know is if you take money out of a robinhood account it doesn't adjust your total.

If op started with 105k and turned it into 200k. He then took out100k his account would read exactly like this

I turned 25k into 70k. Took out 20k and my account now reads 5k to 50k

Man i don’t understand it. I’ve tried every combination of options. Holding leads to losses, selling leads to losses, short trades losses, long trades losses. Straddles losses. I haven’t made any money from options and can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong.

(Yes I’ve made a couple bucks here and there, but doesn’t come close to making up for my losses)
