Motivation/Tips A reminder

Get out of the situation you’re in, and break the cycle which you go round in. For you are going round in a cycle that will be broken by death. Why won’t you pay attention? Wake up, for death will come to you where you do not expect it and perhaps a disease is already in your body, spreading throughout your livers and kidneys.

A creeping cancer which you know nothing about, until it seizes you unexpectedly and strikes you down. At that moment you no longer possess anything, the wealth you gathered from unlawful means will not benefit you, because it will be inherited by those who will enjoy it while you bear the burden of sin.

Your many children will not benefit you nor will your possessions, so work for you hereafter and put trust in your lord and break this cycle of sin, get out of this repetitive routine, you wake up and go to sleep trapped in the same cycle.

Many people are like an ox with its eyes blindfolded, turning the mill in endless circles unaware of where they are.

Many Muslims, today, unfortunately are like the ox in the mill. He has no idea where he is.

Wombs give birth and the earth swallows the dead, and he is between the cry of birth and the groan of death. He hardly feels anything he is completely absent and when he finally wakes up it’s only for a brief moment.

This was inspired by sheikh raslan, he gave a speech and it hit home for me. I hope this can help any other Muslim out there I love you all sincerely!

What can I do for my dying grandad?
 in  r/MuslimLounge  14d ago

Always make dua for him, right now and even after he passes.

Ask dua for his forgiveness and an expansive grave with ease in the afterlife

Laylat al qadr duas
 in  r/MuslimLounge  14d ago

Ask Allah with this dua

“Oh Allah bless me and my family with all the goodness in this life, all of the goodness in the next life. And protect me and my family from The fire”

Also ask for forgiveness for all the believers

This encapsulates pretty much everything

You can add any personal requests as well!

Quran/Hadith The benefits of doing istighfar

Surah nuh 10-12: “saying, Seek your Lord's forgiveness, 'for He is truly Most Forgiving. He will shower you with abundant rain, supply you with wealth and children, and give you gardens as well as rivers.”

the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said: "Whoever persists in asking for forgiveness, Allah will grant him relief from every worry, and a way out from every hardship, and will grant him provision from (sources) he could never imagine." (Ibn majah 3891)

So night and day constantly be in istighfar, feel free to search online about istighfar stories and peoples experiences

Why do I feel numb and scared all the time?
 in  r/MuslimLounge  16d ago

Might be a seasonal depression, depression is very real but it passes. As long as you’re keeping up with prayer and obligations things will be okay. Even if you feel numb and don’t see the benefit in it just keep praying and turn to Allah for your troubles. It’ll pass bro don’t stress about it

Quran/Hadith A reminder that you’re meant to go through hardship

Quran 90:4 "Indeed, We have created humankind in 'constant' struggle."

Quran 29:2 "Do people think once they say, "We believe," that they will be left without being put to the test?"

Quran 76:2 "For' indeed, We 'alone' created humans from a drop of mixed fluids, 'in order' to test them, so We made them hear and see."

Quran 67:2 "'He is the One' Who created death and life in order to test which of you is best in deeds. And He is the Almighty, All-Forgiving."

So stop running away from hardship, face it head on and don't fear it either. Look at it from a Birds Eye view, know that you can handle it and you can get through it.

Dua takes me 2-3 Hours. Is this allowed?
 in  r/MuslimLounge  16d ago

Du’a is a form of worship so you were basically in worship for 2-3 hours! Ask as much as you’d like honestly I think people don’t ask for enough

Realistically the only one who can ever provide you with anything is Allah, so keep asking as much as possible and these bad thoughts are from shaytan.

Quran 90:4 “Indeed, We have created humankind in ˹constant˺ struggle.”

Quran 29:2 “Do people think once they say, “We believe,” that they will be left without being put to the test?”

Quran 76:2 “˹For˺ indeed, We ˹alone˺ created humans from a drop of mixed fluids, ˹in order˺ to test them, so We made them hear and see.”

Quran 67:2 “˹He is the One˺ Who created death and life in order to test which of you is best in deeds. And He is the Almighty, All-Forgiving.”

Quran 33:72 “Indeed, We offered the trust to the heavens and the earth and the mountains, but they ˹all˺ declined to bear it, being fearful of it. But humanity assumed it, ˹for˺ they are truly wrongful ˹to themselves˺ and ignorant ˹of the consequences˺,”

So stop running away from hardship, face it head on and don’t fear it either. Look at it from a Birds Eye view, know that you can handle it and you can get through it.

Those of you who frequently pray Tahajjud, when do you wake up for it?
 in  r/islam  Feb 01 '25

You don’t have to wake up necessarily but probably the easiest time to wake up for it is right before fajr because you’re praying anyways

What confirms Islam as the truth for you? Struggling between Christianity and Islam
 in  r/islam  Jan 22 '25

This is for me personally

A god worthy of all worship doesn’t need any partners or associates in any way

So focusing my worship on 1 entity alone makes alot more sense too me

And I don’t need to invoke any intercessors for my prayer all my prayers are straight to Allah and meant for his ears alone

Also the Quran left me baffled with the miracles in it and its claim to being unaltered and proof of it being unaltered throughout the century’s

I feel like I’d just be arrogant if I ignored this as the correct religion so I made the sensible choice

Is dua all it takes to get your wish granted?
 in  r/islam  Jan 21 '25

Du’a is a miracle and dua can change qadr

Show Allah how serious you are about your dua if it’s something you really desire

Wake up for tahajjud frequently, do thousands of istighfar and salawat with other dhikrs

Be consistent and trust in Allah completely even when everything is going the opposite direction

 in  r/islam  Jan 21 '25

I appreciate it! I wanted something accurate conveying the message

I was reading ikhlas and the translators have a lot of different meanings for Allahs name “as samad”

So this made me want to read the one with the most accurate meaning
