What item did you think had a made up name only to find out that it was actually called that?

This sort of response is why Reddit can be great. Thank you!

Went to sleep mid run and woke up to this

I know I could look it up, but I have no idea how games of VS end up like this. I usually get to between 25-30 minutes with a cool mix of garlic, bibles, and birds flying around, then get killed. And I have a great time doing it! What’s happening in the above image is unfathomable to me.

(Similar to people getting Balatro scores like 6.456e116 - unfathomable to me)

The first time I worked in an office, I couldn’t believe the thing I needed to open the door was called a ‘fob’

Wow! I never get these right! My wife and I drove the NC500 last summer. Incredible. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

What's the last item you bought that was a waste of money?
 in  r/AskUK  9h ago

I bought Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 on PC yesterday for £49.99 but my computer isn’t good enough to play it. Fortunately I got an immediate refund. Thank you Steam!

Is Kimi supposed to look like he’s wearing a horizontally striped, neon blue tube top over his race suit? Or is it just me?

What games have you bought multiple times?
 in  r/gaming  13h ago

Dead Cells - first on Switch, then on iOS (a mistake. It needs a controller), then finally on Steam

The paper costs just skyrocketed in Denmark. Bloody Euro.

People who don’t enjoy his movies or Gervais as an actor should definitely watch “After Life” his performance is very restrained and shows serious dramatic chops.

No, not Horatio Nelson. Nelson Mandela. The great leader, who they locked up just cause he was black.

I really enjoyed this game. I think it falls into the category of, ‘minutes to learn, a lifetime to master’ (that’s a compliment!) Well done to your team!

What's your favorite Quentin Tarantino film? mine is 'Inglourious Basterds'
 in  r/Cinema  1d ago

Why do I see Tarantino related questions all day, every day? These are subreddits like ‘Cinema’, but half the posts seem to be recycled versions of the same Tarantino questions.

What’s Tarantino’s best alt-history movie?

What’s Samuel L Jackson’s best performance in a Tarantino movie?

What’s the greatest opening scene to a Tarantino movie?

What do they talk about in the Tarantino subreddit, because apparently all Tarantino discourse happens here! That was an unexpected rant. I do love QT and his movies, but the repetition of the same questions is tiresome

Yep. You’re right. I’m going to blame it being very early in the morning!

I don’t know if anyone else is watching on Sky Sports F1. I’m getting real second hand awkward embarrassment from Simon Lazenby’s constant, repeated, school boy jokes/innuendos about Hadjar’s seatbelt issue. Once, maybe twice, sure. But he giggled his way through an interview with Isack yesterday, and has continued again today. I feel for Naomi and Jacques standing next to him having to awkwardly chuckle.

Pumped for this race though!
