Do Madewell jeans shrink?
I bought a pair of secondhand Madewell jeans from Goodwill a few years ago. Mid to low rise, bootcut, super sturdy. They are marked 28 x 32.
I’ve lost postpartum weight recently, and as I’ve been fitting back into my older clothing, these particular pair of jeans puzzle me. I’ve been wearing size 2 from Old Navy for a solid month ~10 lbs ago, size 4 Express, and 26 in Levi’s, all in varying rises, comfortably, but these pair of Madewells barely buttoned until a week ago. From everything I’ve read, Madewell jeans are supposed to be stretchy and generously sized, but I’m wondering if I got a shrunken pair. There is little to no stretch to these pants, but the material itself is solid and seems like a decent quality. The care tag was cut when I purchased them, so I don’t have any other details on them.
I really love them and I’d like to explore getting more Madewell jeans if the quality is similar, but sizing has thrown me for a loop compared to everything else I’ve read online.

Absolutely. My singleton has had much more opportunity to be involved in chores and actually does them better solo at his age than my twins did together. I was just noting that multiple timing and singleton timing is waaaay different, and thus the exposure to things like chores. Being a mom of same age multiples and having a singleton later has taught me that no matter how you want to hack it, the multiple time schedule is so different and as a result, multiples can often be delayed in skill learning not due to parent laziness but simply by the fact that there are only so many hours in the day, especially with higher order multiples.
