How many ages do you want for Civ 7?
 in  r/civ  3d ago

I’d rather just flesh out the existing 3 ages with additional features.

Wants more medieval representation? Add more to the beginning of the Exploration age and encourage interaction on your home continent before you set sail to distant lands.

Wants Information Age tech? Add that to the end of the Modern age since it’s already the shortest.

Who's better at ships? Spain or Chola
 in  r/civ  Feb 06 '25

Chola has the stronger raw naval power which is great for bullying rival treasure fleets and conquering coastal/navigable river settlements.

Spain being more focused on transporting units makes them flexible for getting their Treasure Fleet online, as well as invading distant lands with missionaries and land units.

I'll say Spain is the better Civ since they perfectly align with 3/4 of the legacy paths, but Chola is the best Civ for pure naval dominance.

Correction: I may be happy and surprised that my country is represented in another Civ game but will still play Khan Harriet Tubman of Mongolia as my first game. Huzzah!

Tops and vers, do you prefer big muscle bottoms?
 in  r/askgaybros  Jan 29 '25

I’m a smaller young vers into bigger/muscle guys and getting the chance to top them is so hot.

Usually do doggy and it’s so hot watching them moan and stretch their muscular back and ass. Fucking bigger guys on their back is hard for me as the smaller guy but I dream of doing that while play with his chests and get the view from the front.

Possible PrEP long-term side effects?
 in  r/askgaybros  Jan 29 '25

I was diagnosed with the exact same thing before I was on PreP or even had sex so the cause can definitely just be something random. Nothing found in the ultrasound and my liver enzyme returned to normal on future retests. Doctor suspected it may be short-term Hepatitis from non-sexual blood contact like someone cutting themselves when preparing my food so I guess that’s a reminder to get vaccinated.

Do your ultrasound and ask your doctor to retest your liver enzymes if they haven’t schedule that. If you don’t need PreP in the foreseeable future then it doesn’t hurt to stop and see how things turn out.

Antiquity Civilizations Explained
 in  r/civ  Jan 18 '25

Ming looks like a good automatic unlock. Han’s traditions are increased influence and science on specialist so transitioning into Majapahit, Abbasid, or Inca also seems good if you can unlock them.

Very interesting that Influence is incredibly rare on Exploration age civs so leaders like Himiko and Franklin will likely want Greece or Han’s traditions to carry their influence gains throughout the game.

Rome, Maurya, Aksum, Persia, and maybe Greece. I’ve seen one of the preview players going wide by prioritize incorporating city states as Greece.

Antiquity Civilizations Explained

There is a lot to read and digest about each civilization in Civ 7 so here is an explanation of each one to help you find one that fits your playstyle.

Aksum: Settle on coasts to gain resource slots and fill them with enhanced trade routes. Has the only unique naval unit in Antiquity, giving them military control over the coast and navigable rivers.

Egypt: Stack food, production, gold, and culture on navigable rivers tiles to build wonders and get rich. Unique great people can accelerate wonder production or reinforce your army with defensive military units.

Greece: Utilize Influence to control diplomatic actions against other civs or gain control of all city states on the map. Hoplite unique units gain strength from being near other Hoplites and from you being the suzerain of city states, giving Greece surprising military strength.

Han China: A scientific turtle Civ that protects itself with the Great Wall and unique ranged unit. Just sit back and build up science and influence.

Khmer: The premier go tall Civ. Feed your capital to grow it into a specialist powerhouse. Your specialists will provide science, culture, and gold all the while costing little maintenance.

Maurya: Conquer settlements with powerful cavalry units and build up happiness to supplement your expansionism. Also can pick 2 pantheons instead of one. How nice.

Maya: Another defensive scientific Civ much like Han China and Khmer. Utilize vegetated tiles to augment science yield and ambush any invaders with invisible ranged units and traps.

Rome: Go wide and settle multiple towns to supercharge your Capital’s culture, gold and military production. Your commander can even make a town with enough experience.

Mississippian: A tall economic Civ. Collect resources and develop urban districts near them to grow for gold and food. Unique range units can also set things on fire.

Persia: It’s all about war. Your units are stronger, faster, and cheaper. Gain more gold as you conquer enemies to fuel your military.

Now that every leader in 7 is revealed, who will you play first?
 in  r/civ  Jan 17 '25

Trung Trac Rome to try out Commanders. And then Isabella is my next most anticipated leader and I also want to start her with Rome for the extra expansionism.

The fact that I want to pair the same civs with different leaders/playstyle hopefully means there’s a lot of replayability in mixing Civs and leaders.

Gandhi deconfirmed by Dev Diary 7?
 in  r/civ  Jan 14 '25

Running through some potential options.

-Jahangir for Mughal. Not the most well known emperor but has some interesting avenues as a cultural leader, though we already have Catherine.

-John Locke for Britain. Cool choice but I’d prefer a non-western option.

-Karl Marx. 😳

-Literally any Bugandese leader since “Kabaka” is the title for Bugandese kings similar to the Mongolian Khan. There’s also Kato Kintu who’s a legendary figure much like Himiko.

New First Look: Catherine the Great

I mean pragmatically speaking if we’d need more Civ variety than 2 more Colonial European Civs that’d be similar to Spain.

i believe Xerxes went Persia -> Mongolia -> Mughal. But Abassid -> Mughal still makes sense.

With Russia being confirmed we now know 9/10 of the Modern age Civs

Russia

Buganda

Mexico

America

Japan

Qing

France

Siam

Mughal

Britain was also name dropped by the Devs but there has been no gameplay of them so I’m curious if they’ll make the cut. There is also shockingly no Middle Eastern representative so I guess the Abassid goes into Russia, Mughal, and Buganda?

At worse I think she’s just going to be balanced around being a counterpick that dumpsters projectile champs and loses to assassins. Not ideal but there are a lot of champs like that in this game.
