It's cute y'all think the billionaires are suffering when the market crashes
 in  r/dankmemes  12h ago

Lowkey crashes in markets are a great way to make money if you have money. Kind of a lame example but I used to play MMOs with an open market (think WoW) and it was a good day when a market spiked but it was a great day when a market crashed. Spikes were only particularly good if you’d invested after a crash

Marriage in Japan. Didn't receive a certificate?
 in  r/japanlife  10d ago

Yes it’s a special request. Japanese people don’t usually get a certificate unless they need proof for something. In the U.S. (where I’m from) they’ll hand you a few documents as omiyage. In Japan, you have to actually ask for a receipt and pay like 500 yen or you’re not getting it.

I got married in Japan last year. Didn’t get a document same-day, had to go back and ask so I could prove the marriage to the consulate (and again later for my job).

Passport expiring in 2026
 in  r/JETProgramme  10d ago

Renewed in Japan last year. Return time for the passport was faster than the U.S. That said, if you’re twiddling your thumbs you could get it done sooner so that you don’t have more on your plate later

I’m gonna waste my years living in japan.
 in  r/japanlife  13d ago

I don’t think wanting to kill yourself because you’re in the presence of your parents is normal or affects a huge percentage of 17 year olds

I don’t want to be out of line but screw your selfish parents. Your only priority and goal should be to do what’s best for yourself. Study Japanese and try to stay in Japan, if it’s fine for your mental health. You’re already split between two countries and chances are you’ll face uphill struggles there too. And as soon as possible, break away from your family and get your independence. They already forced you into a toxic environment that’s making you resent them. Don’t waste the time or energy on them

Can Lack of Performance lead to my breakup?
 in  r/TooAfraidToAsk  19d ago

TLDR: Yes if you don’t talk about it. If you honestly talk about it and she dumps you over it, then the relationship wasn’t worth it. Just about every guy is gonna face performance issues at some point in his life from a myriad of factors.

I recommend first looking inward and answering a few questions for yourself. How long has it been going on? What do you suspect the cause is? What might alleviate the problem? How can she support you?

Also, if her libido is high, you may need to substitute or compensate with more foreplay. Present this idea along with the answers to your own questions when you talk to her. Chances are, a big factor is you’re getting in your own head and causing yourself more problems than it’s worth. Realizing that and talking it out can be the first step. And, consider using less porn.

Edit: I looked at your post history and you seemed to have insecurities about size. If she’s seen it and continues having sex with you, she doesn’t care. You can still have an honest conversation with her about it and your insecurities but you need to be open to believing her when she says she doesn’t care. I’m not gonna alter my prior statement because it may still apply or apply to another reader

How do High Income Japanese afford nice things when taxes are so high?
 in  r/japanlife  20d ago

Simple answer: they actually know how the tax system works (and how to properly manage their money)

Am i really cheating for following IG fitness models?
 in  r/TooAfraidToAsk  26d ago

If it’s a red flag for her, then it is what it is. If that makes it a red flag for you, then that is what it is.

There’s no wrong reason for breaking up or having a boundary and you’re not gonna change how another person feels. She set a boundary and if that’s something that turns you off, it’s not gonna work out and it’s time to move on because you’ll both be unhappy.

If it’s unimportant to you then you can stop doing it. If it becomes a pattern in your relationship, then it’s time for some self reflection.

If a woman sends a nude to their partner, do they expect the man to rub one out to it?

I just reply “ffgdhdhdhfhfhfhdhdhfh” and it’s fine. No need to overthink it considering you’ve only got one hand to type with at the time

Or they’re just plain stupid
 in  r/BlackPeopleTwitter  Mar 02 '25

Her story was a little sad. She lives in a small town where most of her family and neighbors vote republican. She said she typically voted Democrat despite that though, but had been struggling with infertility, which she believed trump would assist by making IVF free (?). Then, she lost her probationary job. Obviously she should’ve known better than to trust him, but I guess she was desperate.

The source is paywalled but you can get around it: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2025/02/27/fired-federal-worker-trump-voter/

Social security isn’t about making money for the government?? It’s about securing the future for old Americans who may not have sufficient pension or retirement funds. What is he even babbling about?

Sounds like they all need to go. Yeah Trump is partially to blame but so are all these spineless republicans (and some dems too tbh)

 in  r/JETProgramme  Feb 27 '25

You’re a human, not a slave. Don’t overthink it. What you want is relatively minor and you can see women, in Japan, with blonde highlights daily depending on where you are (I see them here and I’m fairly rural). Yeah, less often than men but it’s not nearly as stigmatized as you’d think (at least for foreigners). I’ve gotten piercings and tattoos since I’ve been here and no one cared except to compliment it 🤷‍♂️ they care a lot more about whether you’re doing your job well and arriving on time.

In the worst place, maybe they’ll passive aggressively compliment you. You’re a foreigner and most places want you to literally be different than the students so as to teach them foreigners aren’t scary

17 and 10? Literal crime. That poor woman probably has PTSD and he thinks he’s being a sweet little flirt. Absolutely repulsive
