Agreed, I love this stuff. It’s all I wear in the summer. There’s a few higher end skin tints I’ve been tempted to try but they’re 6x the price and probably not 6x as good as this one.

Oh yeah, I’m with you there. I’m 43 now and while booty shorts and miniskirts aren’t my thing anymore, I’m also not ready for granny wear. We desperately need some plus options for those of us in between those two extremes. But even then, each person has a different idea of what that would ideally look like. I personally would love something like a J Crew or Madewell at their peak that is dedicated to plus sizes, but my taste is not everyone’s. It’s tough.

I definitely hear you. The original idea with Torrid was that it was supposed to cater to a younger, more trend-conscious, late teens-20s demographic, as opposed to the Lane Bryants and Catherine’s of the world, which catered more to 30+ folks. I started shopping there in the early 10s and they definitely always carried short shorts/miniskirts and more revealing items than other plus size stores would. I honestly think the complaints have just as much to do with the customer base from the store’s early/peak years aging out of the core demo (including me!) as any change in stylistic direction. As always, the real answer is that we just need more, and more diverse, plus size store options - one brand can’t be everything to everyone.

Anyway, keeping on rocking what you love to wear! I know some of the comments on here can come across as judgy and fat phobic, and it can be hurtful. Just remember other people’s insecurities are about them, not about you. 💜

I haven’t tried Haus Labs but between the other two I prefer the Dior. Nars Light Reflecting is a really nice formula, but I’m a fair neutral and I find that even their cool shades pull yellow. It also oxidized pretty badly on me. YMMV though.

I remember having absolutely no expectations of winning going in. I think the Ravens were like 10 point underdogs. Now, that game is one of my all time favorite memories, but in the moment it was an insanely stressful watch. This game feels a lot more like a toss up to me, which is its own kind of nerve wracking.

Yes! I was standing in front of the convention center during the 2013 parade and I also remember people running down the street when Ray passed. After that we tried (and failed) to get into the stadium. I remember the Oriole bird mascot hanging out of a window in the Warehouse waving a Ravens flag as everyone ran past. What a crazy day that was.

My husband is a newer Ravens fan, mostly thanks to me 😁. I really, really hope he gets to experience that chaos this year.

Yeah this isn’t really true. Generally speaking, Commies fans are concentrated in the two MD counties bordering DC, the counties on the west side of the Chesapeake Bay (what we call “southern Maryland”) and northern Virginia. Far western MD is actually closer to Pittsburgh than it is to either Baltimore or DC, so you see a lot of Steelers fans out there. The rest of the state (central MD and east of the bay) tends to be Ravens fans.

For a cheaper option, I have the Colourpop Bronze Stix in the shade Laguna Beach and I like it. It’s like $10. I’m pretty fair and neutral and it’s not too dark or overly warm on me.

Left ear - two lobes, two helix, and a conch. Right ear- three lobes, one helix. Considering a rook or daith on that side to even the numbers. Also have one in my right nostril.

In person the orange is a bit too dark but overall it’s pretty nice for the price.
