All VEQT - down 9.5% last month, though still up 1.6% YTD, sell tomorrow first thing and wait?
It’ll be down 15% in the last month at open tomorrow. That’s when you’re choosing to sell with a 25+ year investment horizon?

So you’re saying all three heads need to be chopped off?

What do you think the reversal signal would be?
A short drop and a sudden stop for the terrorist.

Trump's latest comments on Tarrifs
He couldn’t have just turned his head a little bit in the right direction?

What is the argument for not putting a large down payment on a house?
Liquidity. 6% is a steep price to pay, but if I’ve got a 3% mortgage, happy to keep those funds more liquid for whatever comes, even if I could pay it off. That equation doesn’t hold as well with rates twice as high.

Probably best to sit on cash until it goes back up. Only then will it be safe to invest.

ETFs: why not sell and buy the dip
That question seems to come up after people should have sold, for those that tend to ask this question.

Is this not concerning to you?
Someone will solve our Trump problem and the market will rally. I for one to do not want to miss either of those things.

Anyone bought VOO at $542?
You should sell at open tomorrow and put what’s left of your money in a HYSA. You’re not cut out for this. Sorry.

Trump plans for an illegal third term
MAGAs would tear the fucking country down if Obama ran for a third term. NOTHING should be off limits if Trump tries it.

Been claiming deductions that I wasn't allowed to as a 1099 doordash driver for 4 years. How F am i?
The IRS is closing audits on billionaires right now with no change due to resources. I think you can roll the dice on this one.

Republicans accuse Democrats of being killjoys with proposed taxes; Democrats say revenue needed for preserve 'prosperity'
Bezos already moved because they tried to slap a 7% capital gains tax on him. Plenty of wealthy people already move when they get old or retire to avoid the estate tax. Plenty will do the same if they implement a wealth tax. It’s hard to create a non-income tax progressive structure because the people you’re targeting for revenue already have second homes and can very easily change residency.

What happened to the 4 year cycle? The S&P500 is now tied on the 4 year chart at ~43%.
43% from a 15-20x peak 4 years ago is pretty good. Also, basing investment decisions on a “cycle” thinking you’re guaranteed some extraordinary return is pretty fucking stupid.

Next car after the iX
Between our 2023 X5 45e and 2024 iX, the X5 collects dust. We drive it primarily so we don’t blast through our lease mileage on the iX. Takes about 5 seconds to plug in 2-3x/week. Unless you’re taking road trips, winter range shouldn’t be much of an inconvenience.
We’ll absolutely go EV when the iX lease terms. The bigger question will be whether we stick with a gas/plugin on the X5 upgrade. We do road trips ~5x/year that requires charging. If we didn’t, we’d likely double up on the EV without question.

You’re 29. Why would you want the market to go straight up? Take advantage of the ability to continue growing your nest egg in good times and bad.
