Possible skinwalker sighting in beaver Utah
 in  r/ParanormalEncounters  16h ago

Some of the top of the line 2025 phones have some crazy zoom capabilities on them, but I agree, the utter most people don't have phones like that.

The things OP wrote in their note were going too far for a prank. Pranks don't deal emotional damage.

One of my most hated online trends is “I’m a woman and I want to sit and do nothing, while my weird stupid boyfriend is weird and stupid because he wants to have fun.”
 in  r/self  21d ago

There are actual studies showing that short videos as a format are harmful for your ability to focus, for your memory and for your brain health.

I'd rather read stuff than cooking my brain with short videos, even if the content is shitty like AITAH (I'm not even into such kinda stuff).

I found vanilla flavored ones in NZ, they don't taste bad at all.

Social media is a cancer to society. Lots of negative trends nowadays can be blamed more or less directly on social media usage.

TIL that fighter pilots sometimes hallucinate from G-forces, seeing things like glowing lights or tunnels that don’t exist.
 in  r/todayilearned  Mar 09 '25

The moon is a tiny, bright object in an otherwise completely dark sky. Terrible conditions for getting clear photos with smartphones.

Most UAP sightings indeed have a prosaic explanation. What's left are those without such explanations. How do you explain the "drones" over New Jersey? They are still there to this day and have yet to be explained. And why would the US congress even discuss UAPs if they are just manmade nonsense? The trillion dollar US defence and intelligence apparatus surely would know why flying objects are hovering above nuclear sites with impunity, no?

They are, when photographing static, well lit scenes and objects. Now go ahead and try the moon.

Go take a photo of the moon on a day where it is big and clear. Make sure your phone is not doing any AI overlay shit like samsung phones.

The result will be a disappointingly small, bright, unclear dot, a picture not even worth saving. And not to mention that most people nowadays don't have a very recent flagship phone.

This is why you don't get super good and detailed photos/videos of UAPs.

 in  r/duschgedanken  Feb 23 '25

Musst mal weniger Insta feeds doomscrollen und stattdessen echte backpacker kennenlernen. Ich bin jetzt seit 6 Monaten in Neuseeland im work and travel holiday:

Feeling Overwhelmed After 4 Months in Australia on a Working Holiday Visa

What makes NZ more attractive to you for work compared to AUS? AFAIK the wages are way lower in NZ and the job market is pretty bad right now.

Hey I'm sorry for this 2 year old comment, but did you ever find out what caused this problem? I have the same laptop right now and have the same issue. Thanks!
