3rd gen was solid. But I think 4th gen is where it's at. Wilds, as one of the games in the, let's call it "post world era", has a lot of potential to be up there with them. The monsters so far are unique,diverse cool and really fun to hunt. I hope they bring back some more of that old gen hardness in the expansion and titles updates. But they seem to be on the right track after teasing lagiacrus for the second TU, I was expecting them to hold him off for the epansion!

Did the optimisation fixes for title update 1 get announced? Will they also prepare something for console? Performance mode sometimes looks really pixelated and grainy, especially further in the distance, and textures such as mud, gravel, etc don't render properly, in any given game mode....will those things be adressed as well?

I would like more monster from rise, fulgur anja and ebony odogaron, as we don't have any odogarons playable. As for monsters from wilds...ALL OF THEM. I'm lowkey wishing we don't get another Rathalos mc, maybe they could pick up on a baby Arkveld befriending a rider and the power of kinship help him not go rampant? Also, more Elder dragons would be nice, and the big guns like Ukanlos, Gogmazios etc. Maybe not as playables, but they could use them in the story. I just hope we have fully sized monsters at some point(Lore wise, your monsties are fully grown, they are smaller in game for gameplay purposes, but it would still be really cool) and also more idle interactions with the monsters. It feels weird that we have a Monster taming game that focuses so little on the bonding part in terms of mechanics and interactions out of combat.

I got wilds on ps5. Finished story and high rank assignments. did the endemic and fishing quest line, all optional quests, etc. only thing left for me was farming decos, oracalcite for my weapon bonuses and getting the rest of the achievements(yes, I'm that kinda person when i truly love a game). I recently had to upgrade my pc for various personal projects so now I have a rig that survives playing this game on high fps and awesome visuals. I also like the idea of modding some stuff to make it look sharper and run smoother. Is there a save editor complex enough so I can recreate my ps5 save file or do I have to start over fresh? And if so, is it worth it?( I have very limited time as I study medicine and have other stuff I work on in my spare time, so that's why I'm trying to cut on redundancy, otherwise I woud've just got the game again and started over)

You are absolutely right. It doesn't matter how exceptional a game is on paper, the whole ambition of Monster Hunter Wilds ammounts to zero if most of your player base can't experience it.

Honestly I wouldn't change anything since I love those movies as is, but I would change the work ethic going forward.

For example, I would change the human plot to be more sciency and reflect more the intricacies of the titans. After hearing the IDW Godzilla universe interview, Godzilla not eating anything is not a rule. Or at least, you ARE ALLOWED to alude to the fact that he feeds on organic matter(Like in the "here there be dragons comic book", with his lair full of skeletons of marine creatures). He still is an apex predator. Make him feel like one. Instead of giving me "I don't know what the fuck it's happening but it works" from the human cast, give me more hypothesis, cause and effect theories etc when they encounter something new, kinda like how they talked about those titans in 2014, LoM and KotM. Give them classifications,clades families,etc like the skull island compendium that's on the way. Especially Godzilla. Give a plot that delves into why he is THE GODZILLA, why he is unique even in his species, speculate on the intricacies of his capacities and so on. I wouldn't care if the characters are flat or one dimensional if they would actually contribute more to the world building.

The retcons, aside from Awakening, which was more of a promo thing(I don't think consistent comic book content was on their game plan when they made that) I don't really see as retcons, because not naming or mentioning side content in the movies doesn't necessarily mean it's retconed. For example, Lahamu(Tiamat's offspring don't know his name) Isn't mentioned in GxK bc he isn't really relevant and since 2021(when the game in which he appears takes place) he could've just been recorded and monitored in a different layer than Tiama. And this is one example to name a few. The movies to keep adding layers over the old events(although admittedly very thin layers),so they don't feel AS DISCONNECTED to one another as some people might make you think(for example finding out that the Iwi were riling up Godzilla in relation to gidorah in 2019. Doesn't really change much, but it's a nice "fun fact" to connect the movies together with each new world building adition). Tbh, I always thought that the side content is just that, side content. Kind of like a "Hey in case you are Monsterverse starved, this also happened while you were looking at a monkey and a Radioactive Lizard going against each other",which I'm all for tbh. I wouldn't want to go in 2030 at a new monsterverse movie and read 40 mv comics and play 2 games to understand who exactly are the characters I'm seeing on the screen.

People keep spreading misinformation. The plot synopsis states that "MOST" dinosaurs couldn't adapt to harsh environments. MOST. Not ALL of them. In the leaks, it's stated that the dinosaurs that survived and adapted are relevant to the plot in a way(I won't spoil it in case you don't follow leaks). . Biosyn will be discussed, and apparently it's restricted to public access. I don't know anything else or if it will be heavily mentioned or discussed. Also the part about Biosyn is from leaks from a few months back, so take it with a grain of salt.

To put it shortly: No, dinosaurs are not dead all over the world except this island(as some comments would tell you), and no, no one is retconing anything in this movie(as stated by the writer himself)

My childhood! Super interesting, really enjoyable, great dinosaur species and also splendid characters! Too bad it'll most likely get retconned by Jurassic Park survival when it comes out, given that that one is specifically tailored to fit in the Movie Timeline seamlessly, although this one was considered soft canon already since some things are never mentioned in other instances(such as the fact that the island was already planned to be bombed by the government)

She slowly grows out of it. And I mean, that's kinda the whole point of her character in the comics. She's the smartest person there is, but is severly limited by her young age and lack of experience, so she has to learn to navigate through her problems and literally grow up. One such problems, is how she sees the world and the people around her. Oh, and at certain points of her story, her problems exacerbate because the other heroes don't take her seriously, so she has to step in, so sometimes I honestly can't blame her XDDD. She does get a lot more lenient on devil dinosaur however, so her bad attitude with the rest of the heroes is forgiven.

i just hope in a future run or project we get a bit more focus on devil dinosaur. Maybe some Genndy tartakovsky's primal Fang type of characterisation or a comic that really focuses on his side a bit more. Like "It's Jeff" if they want to keep it for all ages.

OOooooh, or a solo Devil Dinosaur story in which he has to rescue Moon Girl and her family and he gets savage, and the comic is a bi more brutal. Cates or Remender having a go at Devil Dinosaur would be A LEGENDARY EVENT

I think it's safe to say fatalis. It most likely obliterates the whole island, and if you scale it to titan size, keeping it's abilities intact from Monster Hunter, just size him up, I think he would be a real pain in the ass for the monsterverse

Ok genuine question, which might not answer yours, but how does one AQUIRE MONKEYS as pets???? Like, is it that easy to get into black market trade of pets or are those like genuine options as legal pets? How does it all work????(P.S. I come from Romania, where even leopard geckos and corn snakes are considered a rare sight, we only have one speciality site with reptiles amphibians and other oddities, but nothing that would require permits or paperwork)

Ah! I ordered most of this stuff along side already. I only bought from after the 2004 venom vs carnage because everything prior I experienced through the spider-man vs venom omnibus and the 3 venomnibuses. I love Venom, as I have most of the stuff, only thing left is the venom war volume, all new venom vol 1 and the mike costa run to collect(waiting for an epic collection on that one, I hope it comes soon) and I suddenly had the urge of "heyyy, carnage got a lot of stuff going for him, how about we get into him as well he was an awesome villain" and that's how I got around scavenging for books XD. Also got some Abnett GotG epics and the Bendis omnibus along side it( My faves are Venom, Symbiotes, Devil Dinosaur, GotG). I just hope someone picks up and does something cool with Devil Dinosaur too, although I don't see someone like Cates picking a red t-rex up to write about... The Moon girl stuff and his own stuff from the 80's are cool, but I feel like he's more of a side-kick rather than a focal point( as the name of the runs would lead you to believe)

I think that the Valkyries were there to take him to Valhalla, but since his heart was still filled with dark desires such as death and revenge, a demon sought him out in order to claim his soul, which he did, seeing as the chieftain bows down to him. No god of death makes you submit to him in the afterlife, most religions have them weighing your soul to deem you worthy or not. I also think that this is a fantasy universe in which these are people inspired by various cultures, not the culture itself being represented.
