Also even if that were true the government should not be able to either violate your right to due process or illegally disappear you to a foreign gulag.

If they have no criminal record

And entering the country illegally is a crime

Then: what does that indicate about their presence in the country?

Regardless: the government shouldn't be able to either violate your due process or send you to a foreign gulag

75% of those the Trump administration sent to a foreign prison had no criminal records. What is stopping them from sending you?

Okay. Again, a full 3/4s of those who were illegally disappeared had no criminal record nor criminal charges.

Source.

The Trump administration admitted in court that many of those it illegally sent to a foreign prison known for human rights abuses and torture, and now it is clear that the vast majority of those who were disappeared in spite of a court order to respect their right to due process had absolutely no verifiable criminal records.

If the Administration can illegally disappear who have not been charged with or committed a crime, detain people who merely had the wrong TYPE of Visa, and search through your phone and social media for evidence of speech the administration disagrees with so it can detain people, then what legal barrier, if any, would stop the administration from doing it to you?

Will any of the "Fight tyranny" people do more than posture now?

Borderline medieval peasant thinking. "The king is anointed by God, so he is why the crops grew!" "He owns the company, so he did the labor!"

Why is it that we see mass protests under right wing politician's leadership but not so much under left wing leadership?

It was, though: The Harris administration met with pro-palestinian activists precisely once during the campaign, made no effort to compromise with them, and never once reached out again.

You're describing surplus value and it's something Communists have been correctly pointing out since the industrial revolution.

I am speaking about electoralism and Democrats' abandonment of Palestinians and Arab Americans. Trump's popular vote win margin in 2024 was half of what Hillary's popular vote win margin was in 2016. It's probably better to acknowledge the direct impact that Democrats' policy - or lack thereof - had in their loss than blame people who the Democrats were not trying to help.

If I were Arab American, the choice between "Wants to kill me" and "Will not help me not be killed" is a distinction without a practical difference. It's crazy seeing certain liberals, centrists or self-styled progressives go out of their way to avoid getting people to vote for them and then blame those people for it.

Still waiting on that proof, as well.

Nope, ludicrous and childlike question.

"Actively wants to kill you versus simply won’t go to war for you seems like a no brainer to me, but go off."

Ah, so the democrats only PASSIVELY want them to be killed. Real mystery why Harris lost - perhaps if you condescend harder that will help.

And when I said it’s a provable fact I was specifically talking about the fact that a number of democrats stayed home last time. And that is very much a provable fact.

Okay. So prove that a "Not insignificant number" of people protesting were specifically people who abstained from voting. I've already asked and you haven't proven it. 🤷‍♀️

Everyone insists on it because it is exactly what you said:

"A not insignificant chunk of the people protesting now didn’t vote in November,"

You then said it was provable fact, which you're now equivocating on. It's fine that you said a thing you can't actually prove, but it may also be beyond time to accept that the democratic party actually does have agency and could have made any effort to present a policy platform that could have made these people vote rather than blame people for being given a no-win choice.

I voted for Harris but I'm not going to begrudge - or condescend to - Arab Americans who were given a choice between "Wants to kill you" Republicans and "Will not defend you" Democrats.

I mean because it’s literally provable fact.

Okay, prove the people demonstrating are specifically people who abstained from voting.

Right-wing policies are intensely unpopular and largely the only reason right-wing politicians win is because American elections are intentionally undemocratic ("Democratic" here meaning the system of voting, not the specific political party.)

Comparing the number of demonstrators to the number of voters is some real "Toddler pointing at tall glass that contains the same amount of water as a short glass" stuff.

While there were millions of people out yesterday total, it might just crack double digit millions, when the reality is that 75 million people voted for Harris. It's still a lot of people, don't get me wrong! But very weird to think the amount of people demonstrating at all approaches the total that voted.

A not insignificant chunk of the people protesting now didn’t vote in November, either because they were “sure she would win” and didn’t learn a single solitary thing from 2016, or just Gaza or something.

This is a completely deranged thing to believe.
