Listening to the new Skrillex album and um....wow
 in  r/EDM  1d ago

I felt like this album was kind of a “summary” of his progression through EDM genres and some fun collabs thrown in. No charting singles imo or anything groundbreaking but the whole album just flows all the way through in a remarkable way.

Cardio seems to never get better
 in  r/MuayThai  3d ago

Maybe controversial but you could be overtraining at 2x a day, 5-6 days a week. I’d consider dropping down to 8-10 total training sessions per week or potentially less, giving yourself two full mandatory rest days where you walk at a moderate pace and stretch only, dialing back your intensity while doing skill focused activity like drills, shadow boxing, pads, etc. and reserving maximal exertion effort for higher intensity conditioning or sparring.

Tldr: more isn’t always better, see if you can make the most of less total time training

Whatever happened to that kid in high school that brought his guitar to school and would sit around at lunch or passing period and play it?
 in  r/Millennials  3d ago

That was me

I don’t play much these days, turns out I really like listening to people who are far better than I ever could be over making my own mediocre music. I feel like Salieri in the movie Amadeus, but without the jealousy or backstabbing.

I am from the future. I bring the transcript of the episode aired on April 1, 2027.
 in  r/Thedaily  5d ago

The daily podcast format and beats, Michael Babaro interjecting with information and saying "hmm!" are so on point, I was able to read this in the voices.

Also:

UNNAMED JOURNALIST: Do you think the Founding Fathers would have accepted the Mars-years theory as plausible?

KAROLINE LEAVITT: I think it's disrespectful for you to try and quiz me on US history.

This is perfection.

Did anyone become a CNA first and feel like it made nursing school easier or helped their clinical skills?
 in  r/StudentNurse  6d ago

CNA is great to get your fundamentals down and get a handle on what CNA's can/can't do.

But honestly I did it part time while in nursing school for about a year and that was more than enough for me.

'The Interview': Megyn Kelly Is Embracing Her Bias and Rejecting the 'Old Rules'
 in  r/Thedaily  10d ago

tldr: she's the same, but now she's got a podcast

Tactics are identical- use whataboutism when confronted about Trump's sexual assault history, minimize bad things that happen as much as possible. They discuss Trump and Michael Cohen's targeted harassment of her and she seems to justify it in a similar manner to a battered wife talking about how she deserved to get abused. She even talks about the sexual harassment by Roger Ailes and the sexual assault allegations against him, almost seems to make a connection between men like him and Trump using their status and power to assault women and the pattern everyone else seems to see, but chooses voluntarily to dismiss criticism of Trump as "him being handsy with women 20 years ago" and "doesn't believe" the E. Jean Carroll case.

Lulu Garcia-Navarro the interviewer, softballs and doesn't press Megyn and even continually plugs her podcast and youtube throughout the episode. It's disappointing, because listeners know Lulu is capable of pushing back on contradictions and statements but for whatever reason she doesn't, possibly because she feels a "female journalist" bond exists between them.

kind of shaken
 in  r/StudentNurse  11d ago

Patient was pretty far from fine if they had all that and the DNR

If was likely only a matter of time, you were both doing the most compassionate thing by making sure they were clean before their passing

Even without your bath their demise was likely imminent

Bannon: Trump ‘going to prison’ if Democrat wins White House in 2028

Because this worked out so well last time? Lmao let’s be real, until the dems get some actual teeth there won’t be an election in 2028.

As a FL native, are you still going to raise a family here?
 in  r/florida  13d ago

I'd prefer to move somewhere else, but our parents are here. In a few years, we'll need to be around to take care of them anyway. It would be a pain to move where we want, get established, and then come back to take care of them when something happens to their health.

I think having childcare and being able to have grandparents around to bond with your kid is also important for their development. Moving means putting them in daycare or something with potentially less than attentive caregivers who are constantly turning over. With grandparents, you can at least have consistency in expectations when they are around.

This is how you raise your kid

One time I spilled milk onto my plate of spaghetti

My WWII grandpa yelled at me and made me eat it for some reason, idek why lmao

I pulled an emergency bell because a patient was having a seizure but it turned out she was faking it and the nurses were upset with me
 in  r/StudentNurse  16d ago

Great job doing what you were supposed to do

Those nurses can eat a dick, they're the ones who will refuse to act on a real seizure since it's "fake" and kill someone

COVID-19 lockdown was 5 years ago. What do you remember about that day when the world stopped?
 in  r/AskReddit  20d ago

A weird sense of relief

Things weren't going great in my life at that point, I hadn't gotten into grad school and I was still trying to figure out what I was going to do now that plan A was out. Now I had essentially permission to take a breath and rest because I wasn't going to be able to make any career related moves for the foreseeable future.

The interview - Chuck Schumer
 in  r/Thedaily  22d ago

This dude is really talking about how social media impacts elections like it’s a new thing in 2025. To me, the fact that he really only gives a shit about plugging his stupid book says all voters need to know about what he stands for.

How do guys feel when a woman comes up to you to compliment you?
 in  r/AskReddit  23d ago

Had this happen when I worked in retail. Well dressed younger woman comes in, starts talking to me and is flirting with me. This is 10am on a Wednesday and I was an average looking guy at best, this kind of thing does not normally happen to me. I’m thinking “ok, where is this going?”

Sure enough, “oh do you want to be your own boss?” There it is!!!

“I’m good, I’m not interested in whatever you’re about to suggest.” And she was out of there almost immediately. Hilarious.

Demetrious Johnson on Jon Jones’s loss to Matt Hamill
 in  r/MMA  Mar 08 '25

Yes, but he also dominated Matt the entire fight up until that point.

If we want to point to a loss, the Dominick Reyes fight is probably the best example of him actually being beaten.

Money no object, which country would you buy and why?
 in  r/AskReddit  Mar 08 '25

The US. I wouldn’t do it directly though; I’d use a bunch of money to get an idiot elected who I have a ton of dirt on if he ever betrays or questions me. I’d also threaten the senate and congress with getting primaried out of office if they question me or my underling the president.

Then I’d start some kind of unelected task force to “improve efficiency” in the government, but ultimately use it to just make giant cuts for the middle and lower class so we can pay for my tax cuts. I’d also have house and congresspeople form a caucus to basically ensure any changes I want made are automatically passed without question.

Also since I am extremely wealthy, I would suck up government contracts like a gigantic parasite. It’s not about money, it’s really about depriving others of what they want.

Ford doubles down on threat to cut off energy to U.S. amid spectre of trade war
 in  r/worldnews  Mar 04 '25

Reading all of these comments makes me wonder if this is a planned move by the current administration

They slap tariffs for no reason, Canada retaliates and causes a significant economic strain in the US

Current admin escalates and uses the retaliation as justification for military action

US forcibly invades Canada to fulfill Trump's "51st state" plan

Being low iq is a hell that nobody talks about
 in  r/self  Mar 04 '25

sounds like you're just human

nobody goes a day without making a mistake

People lose things

few if any people understand concepts the first time

consider the conversation you have in your own head; when you make a mistake, are you thinking "wow I'm so stupid" and fulfilling the prophecy you've set for yourself?

Maybe try correcting that voice next time and remind yourself: "I'm human. Humans make mistakes. That is okay."

When did you know your relationship was over?
 in  r/AskReddit  Feb 26 '25

When I saw her laughing and enjoying herself with a guy friend in a way I’d never seen her do before with me.

It was such a natural chemistry that I knew the relationship was done on an instinctual level.

48 laws of power by Robert Greene

The more power and influence you have, the more insecure you become. You see it all the time, whether it's your coworker who just got promoted to team lead suddenly changing personality, or the HOA president going around taking pictures of people's trash cans to send them fine notices.

We are all playing power games at all times from the moment we are born and until we die whether we acknowledge it or not, so it's better to just be aware of it happening than not.
