I would consider myself a conservative yes. I agree with a lot of points the American conservatives make, but I do think Trump should be gone. He generally is in my opinion a douchebag who doesn't deserve to be a president. I'd rather have him gone and have someone like Candace Owens replace him. She has in my opinion a lot of potential and a lot of conservatives agree as well. The only conservative people that are actually still supportive of Trump according to my knowledge are the T_D people and most mainstream conservatives like Steven Crowder and Ben Shapiro and some of their followers. We are kinda done with Drumpf tbh.
Are you joking when you say Candace Owens? Because from what I’ve seen of her, she seems no better than T_D people. She denies factual data (ie climate change) and goes on the same rants about how Democrats are evil because they were the party that opposed Lincoln in the 1800s and how liberals are the real racists because they want to control black people through welfare. No short she’s no different than the toxic “liberals and Democrats hate America” breed that supported the rise of Trump.
Could you give me correct sources of where she says it? If that is seriously whayt she said with that context then I will reject my statement of liking Candace Owens
I don't have her statements saved anywhere but after scrolling through her twitter for a few seconds I found this. She's made more "pointed" remarks in past speeches and interviews about how supposedly Democrats want to enslave black people. Her whole talking point is "Blexit" which is based on that notion about Dems.
This video contains clips from her Joe Rogan interview and is where I really lost all respect for her. Apparently climatologists can't be trusted because they get paid to work but studies funded by fossil fuel companies are just fine.
There are more videos detailing her foolishness like this. She clearly has no idea what she's talking about. She often talks about "globalism" without even knowing what the term means and equates liberals/Democrats with socialists in the same way right-wing fear mongers and T_D people do.
Trump has 90+ percent approval rating among republican voters. It’s not just “t_d” people that are still supportive of him, it’s damn near everyone in the party.
Well I said most not all. This doesn't change the fact that most still support him. I am happy you are one of the good ones, but I have no clue where you get this idea that most Republicans are done with him. It simply isn't true.
55% of Republicans who use Fox News as a primary news source say there is nothing he could do to lose their support (compared to 29% who don't use Fox so there's a big pointer there).
A poster below me quoted 91% and I can't find the source for that but most sources I found say the party as a whole is hovering between 85-90% support.
I always have trouble with these kind of numbers. Like these kind of numbers can never be accurate cause not everyone can participate in this. Also the fact remains that there is no total number of people used in this research. It could be 100, 100.000 or anything else. I wasn't asked for this research and yet they act like everyone was asked. It is pretty common for Fox News to ramp up some bullshit numbers. It wouldn't be the first time they did it. One of the reasons I don't like them.
To represent a large sample you just need 1000 people -- after that, getting more subjects doesn't really make a difference. This is demonstrated by the consistency between sources while all using small, different samples. So I wouldn't really expect anyone to ask you, but that's beside the point. There are still problems with polling.
I don't mind your inclination to question these things. I always take polling with a grain of salt. There are many factors at play. A big one being that polling companies begin by attempting to judge the electorate's demographics -- who will be voting by age, gender, region etc. So if there is anything here they forget to account for polls can be way off. And of course, there is the simple fact that media bias exists everywhere else, and it is naive to thing it would end at the polls.
In this case though, I'm not sure. Trust me, I want these numbers to be false as much as you do. I definitely didn't go to Fox News for this, and I don't see why any of my sources would have fudged them in Trump's favor. I mean I guess you could say it "makes conservatives look bad" or whatever, really, all everyone on the left wants to see is that Republican support % DROP, we don't care how bad you look. So if there's any fudging you'd think it would be down.
I am always skeptical about polling. Polling is more based on a general consensus between the average people and not aimed at how the individual may react to something if that makes sense to you. I am definitely curious to look more in depth into this though.
Media bias will always be a thing though so that's why checking multiple sources is the best thing. I assumed you looked at a fox news story and called it a day. My bad, sorry about that.
"We're not all shit because you can't survey all of us."
It takes about 1000 to be an accurate samples size of a large demographic. Fox News isn't exactly some obscure network. It's the most mainstream right wing network by viewership and it's been directly propped up as the only credible mainstream source by Republicans (notably Trump) multiple times.
I always have trouble with these kind of numbers. Like these kind of numbers can never be accurate cause not everyone can participate in this.
I'm having a hard time parsing this. Are you saying that you don't trust polling, because the sample doesn't talk to literally everyone? If so, then you are basically rejecting all of statistics.
I never said I reject polling, but still I have a hard time with these numers always. Sometimes they are completely right and sometimes completely wrong.
I can't begin to imagine how you determine which are right and which are wrong. Why do you "have a hard time with these numbers"? Is it because the numbers don't match what you personally believe?
Oh not at all. That's just being stubborn and ignorant. Also I never tell myself they are right or wrong. Generally most of the time polls are somewhat true and give a correct angle at a subject, but not always. I always have a small doubt about it wheter it fits my political views or not.
Honestly if he got impeached it would make my life a lot easier for me when the election rolls around. We could have a nominee for president who actually is fit for office and I'd feel comfortable voting for. Right now as it is I'm faced with either voting for a party that I disagree with on most points, or voting for a president I find unfit for office and completely reprehensible, or throwing my vote away for a third party candidate. But, I'm guessing the liberals would just delay the impeachment process till the last possible second to ensure that they win in 2020.
My stance on this is pretty simple. In general you vote for the party, not for its leader. If you vote for a party because of its leader that just makes you ignorant. Go for the political party you most agree with!
Oh, I mean vote along congressional/etc. lines however you want. The President though, as an individual, is where I think you need to vote on the man, not the party.

And all the conservatives who would rather support those same alt right motherfuckers than ANYONE on the left.
What’s that? It’s almost all of them?
