TLDR BELOW THIS!

As stated in the title, I'm trying to use two phones (13 and xr if it helps) with two different carriers (ATT and TMO respectively) but only want to send messages from one number, like the xr is a tiny cellular ipad because it has unlimited data.

This works fine for my imessage chats and groups, but whenever I try to send an sms or mms from the xr, it says the number isn't available, and asks to switch contacts to primary. I do not want to do this, though, as it would just send the message from the xr's sim, and the person recieving the message just sees an unknown sender.

I have turned on text forwarding and the like, so this works when the xr sim is off and I'm on wifi, but not if the xr sim is on or if I'm outside of wifi range.

How do I send sms without doing the sim toggle every time and without being on wifi?

I have 2 phones but want to use one like an ipad. How do I send sms from the "ipad" from the caller id of the main phone?

I just updated my 15 pro max yesterday to the 18.4 IOS. Not sure if it’s my phone that has the issue or my cousin’s phone or something else going on, but her iPhone is updated to iOS 18.3

All day yesterday, my cousin and I were hanging out while she was packing for an international trip. Before I went home, she asked me to check the Find My app to make sure it was working for safety reasons as she is traveling alone.

She is sharing location with me from her iPhone, and the location toggle from the location services/privacy setting is on. She can see my location. I have all of my settings on as well, including Bluetooth, cell service, etc. We tried turning WiFi on and off with no success, and turned a bunch of other settings on and off as well and turned phones on and off but it still says “no location found.”

She mentioned that she realized she was sharing location with an ex boyfriend on some Apple Family Sharing app (I guess they’re still using some shared Apple services? Idk how it works) so she turned off the locations of those devices the other day. So maybe that messed up all of her location services?

Even before updating to new IOS, some of my friend’s locations on Find My would just spin endlessly before stating “no location found.” It would generally resolve by a day or two though. It’s still not working today. Just sucks because we wanted to figure this out before she leaves tomorrow!

Has this happened to anyone else? Tips? Tricks?

How do i fix this? I can still install apps that have the cloud symbol on it, just nothing new. I’ve updated to the latest version, logged out and logged back in, and restarted my phone.

iPhone 16 Pro, IOS18.4

Recently I’ve found that on occasions when I try to open an app by pulling down and searching, nothing is returned. Similarly, swiping over to the right and searching via the App Library does nothing. I have to scroll through the list and open the app that way.

I thought that this was possibly being caused by Focus settings. For example, when I plug in my iPad this triggers a Focus state using a Shortcut. The focus state is shared to other devices such as my IPhone. This may be the case but if so, I can’t figure out why. I’ve been using the shortcut for months and haven’t ever had the issue I’m currently experiencing.

I’ve restarted the device which seem to fix it temporarily but it returns. I can’t figure out what (other than possibly a Focus state) may be the cause.

Any thoughts or insights appreciated. TIA.

After the iOS 18.4 update i’ve noticed that almost all safari tabs I haven’t used in an hour or so display that enable JavaScript prompt, when entering that tab it disappears, i’ve checked safari settings and it shows JavaScript is enabled, has anyone noticed the same thing? (Sorry if flair is incorrect, first time posting here)

It's just fantastic, they have fixed the most obvious search bugs, but that was apparently a very hot fix. Looks like all their QA is indeed busy with AI. Do I maybe need to somehow re-index it?

Someone I know accidentally permanently deleted our entire iMessage conversation from there phone but I still have all the messages. Is there anyway for me to share them so they can recover them? Edit: Is there an iCloud workaround with family share?

When I am on call over Instagram or FaceTime and I am on another app, the video call window automatically goes into Picture in Picture mode (video call icon appears in small box in one of the corners). This is sometimes annoying but I’d like to keep my camera on while hiding the icon. Is there any way of achieving this automatically?

Hello, I am using FaceID with an IPhone XS and just unlocked my phone with a photo of my face. I'd like to unlock my phone with FaceID. I have every FaceID unlock except that turned off but it is still possible to access my passwords in the settings with FaceID. Is there any way to turn this off or is turning off faceid my only option? (Password autofill is off, that's not my problem)

I have two additional bugs since 18.4: My emails (iCloud with native app) are not notifying anymore when the phone is locked. As soon as I unlock it, it will send the notification of new emails (however, no sound on notification). I have all ON on email notifications as always. It’s just another bug.

Also, my AOD setting js now turning off automatically like 3 times per day. I see the screen is black, I go to screen settings, and the AOD switch is off. I turn it on. I will work for a few hours, and then the display will turn off again, and setting is set to off again.

None of this happened on previous 18.3 version.

Come on Apple… you should be fixing iOS, not making it even worse.

So just before my iphone auto locks, for mere seconds my screen turns pink and then it just goes to sleep, and then the pink screen is not there anymore, first i thought it might be due to the wallpaper, I did change it and also updated my iPhone to the lastest iOS, but the problem still persists. I purchased the new 16 pro in December 2024 and backed up my old phone with pictures and music to iTunes.

I didn’t realize my phone could transfer phone to phone when setting up new but it didn’t transfer my music. I kind of left it like that until I realized on a flight my songs were not on there.

If I synched it now with my December back up to get my music back, will my photos taken since then be overwritten or will it merge the old with the new?

My phone was at 18.3 version for a while and i never had any issues until yesterday. I updated it to 18.4 but nothings changed. Its definitely not a location issue cause I was went to various places and even at home its shit. Also my hotspot and data constantly turns itself on even if im connected to wifi?

Turning my phone on and off doesn't help and turning on and off my vpn only works temporarily

Hi, with the sound on, what’s the correct configuration to have just vibration for Whatsapp notification? If I remove the ringtone for messages it just shows the notification without any sound or vibration. If I turn the sound off it just vibrates correctly. Thanks!
