i have had the new update ios 18.4 on my ipadPro, 3rd generation since yesterday. Now I can't find the new integration "apple intelligence" - why? I also got the message that I now also have apple intelligence... but where?

I got a 16PM a few weeks ago and so far I’m surprised by how forgettable Apple Intelligence is. I don’t use Siri for much anyway (because it has been useless for as long as I can remember) but unless it’s something like a timer, it seems to pass EVERY query to ChatGPT now. It means that asking a simple question becomes tedious because there’s always the prompt where it asks for permission before sending it to ChatGPT and this happens with even basic questions that should be easily retrieved from a Google scrape. I’ve seen the writing tools, they’re decent and image playground is fun for like 5 minutes but I have no actual use for it.

I was somewhat hopeful for AI - particularly Siri improvements but so far I’m pretty underwhelmed.

Have any of you found interesting uses or things I’m maybe overlooking?

I want the exact same moon but as a photo because Astronomy wallpapers consume a lot of battery. I tried to remove app icons with Adobe but I got a bad result. Who knows what else can I do?

I just updated to 18.4 and noticed when connected to Bluetooth devices which AREN’T my AirPods that the music visualization is gone, and I have to wonder what the logic behind that was. Like no shit I’m connected to a BT audio source, my music doesn’t beam itself to my car using telepathy. Honestly it was my favorite part of the island because I really don’t use anything outside of timers that utilize it.

Often, while watching something on Apple TV, this icon comes up, sometimes saying a family member’s name and their FaceTime. I find this very distracting and would like to turn it off. But no idea how to.

We built a house last year and a friend was visiting yesterday for the first time. I greeted him and had my phone in my hand. He asked me who built our house, I said my builder’s full name and then some details around the process etc.

I check my phone an hour later to a text from my builder “was that meant for me?” I look at the message above and it is a loose transcript of what I was saying to my friend, and it had SENT to my builder! I said nothing bad, but was so confused- does anyone know how this could have happened?

I got my iphone a week ago and it is running on ios 18.4. But the AI is not activating/Downloading it shows like(screenshot attached) since i dont have wifi i had to rely on cellular data. Do i really need wifi to download? Coz i tried once by connecting wifi but it didnt showed any signs of download. What do i do to activate AI

so im basically an android user since birth, but im thinking of switching to an iphone... mostly for the camera quality since i like taking photos or selfies and videos i dont really play heavy games and my usage over all is lite.

ive looked into Pixels and other mobiles but i found everyone saying iphone cameras surpass them.all.

im just really scared of the people who said it was so hard and went back to android and stuff so idk..

I’ve been having issues with Safari searches on my phone for quite a long time now. Figuring out why these issues happen has been very difficult for me, despite my best efforts. My primary issue is that every now and then I’ll search something on Safari, say “Applebee’s,” to figure out their hours. The search gets hung up and never completes. I then tap the bar to refresh the search, only to see that the text I put in has deleted itself.

It’s happened so many times this morning (minimum 20) that I am now posting on Reddit for help. While retyping “Applebee’s” into the search is easy, retyping “Safari deleting search term from bar during loading site:reddit.com” is a pain in the f’ing ass. Anyone know what the issue is? My best guess is if the connection isn’t great, it fails and the tab ignores the previous search prompt? I’m honestly so sick of this happening. Should I just set up Chrome or Firefox as the default browser?

As in title, my alarm no longer goes off and I don’t receive notification sounds and vibrations on iMessage which caused me to miss several msgs already

Hi, our toddler has a daily screen time on her iPad. She is mostly using it listing radio play. But we observed that her day to day consume is longer than the screen time. She is turning off the screen, of course. Seems this is not counting on screen time. Any suggestion how we can stop the music app after 1-2h, linked to the screen time?

As far as I can tell, the long-press menu for Reminders is supposed to show the option to “Add To” the top four lists you have in the app.

I recently reordered my in-app lists but the changes aren’t reflected in the long-press menu. I’ve closed the app and restarted the phone.

Is there a way to force it to change?

I saw this guy post on his story about building an automation that analyses trading markets and sends personalised updates. I want to create something similar but for personal growth. Basically the idea is to set up a system that gives you daily, customisable reminders based on your goals and weaknesses. E.g if someone struggles with procrastination, it could send a message like, “Procrastination is taking away from your progress, stay focused today,” or something related to fitness, productivity, their purpose or even spiritual reminders. The goal is for it to feel like an AI coach that adapts to your journey and keeps you on track, with daily voice reminders that grow with you. I think he’s using telegram and iPhone automations? Any help is appreciated :)

I had my junk mail managed pretty well. Most of what I want in there is automatically moved once it hits my mailbox. Woke up this morning and now there are 3k junk emails in All Mail and none in my junk mail folder. No updates were done. I didn’t change anything. Why does this happen and can this be fixed or do I need to manually go through my entire all mail box?

Updated to 18.4 all haptics not workings. Keyboard/ringtone. No vibration at all. All settings are on accessibility and sound and haptics.

Hey, I’m looking to move fully from iCloud to Google and would really appreciate some advice on how best to do it.

Right now, I’m paying for iCloud’s 2TB plan, but I’ve recently subscribed to Google One AI Premium for Gemini, which also gives me 2TB of storage, so it makes more sense to use that instead.

I want to transfer everything — photos (including Live Photos if possible), iCloud Drive files, and device backups — and ideally have something similar to iCloud Drive’s Finder-style sync on my Mac.

Has anyone done this and can share the best way to migrate everything smoothly? Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, the microphone on my daughter's phone doesn't work very well during regular phone calls. However, voice memos, WhatsApp voice messages, and calls made using the speakerphone work perfectly.

We’ve tried the following:

• Cleaning the microphone
• Resetting the iPhone
• Replacing the microphone

Unfortunately, none of these steps have worked so far.
Does anyone else have an idea what might help?

I have an iPhone 16 pro Max. And the mobile phone works perfectly, but I think that after updating there must be some problem with the wireless connection, I will explain why. I have several groups of HomePod speakers at home, and they also work well I have the problem when the HomePod needs the mobile phone to be connected to the same wireless network to perform some actions, for example when I ask a HomePod to execute a shortcut or when I ask a HomePod to send a WhatsApp message. In this case, the HomePod's response is that it cannot find the mobile phone and that it checks that it is on the same wireless network. And obviously he is, or so I think. With the phone I have not had any problems since the update in terms of use and wireless line connection, I only have this problem with the HomePods when they require the phone to be connected to do some actions, as I have already mentioned. after updating to version 18.4. I deduce that this update brings some compatibility problem. I don't know if the connection problem is really with the HomePods or the iPhone, but as I mentioned, they all work fine, except when they have to do some joint operation. I remember many months ago having a similar problem and that it ended up being solved with an update and I imagine that this time it will be the same. I'm thinking about buying a 16 base, mostly because it has 2 new buttons. I want to change the action button from silent switch to something else. How can i toggle the ringer without using the button? I have never muted/unmuted my phone using anything else but the silent switch

I’ve updated to iOS 18,4 and it still said that apple intelligence is downloading and at times it’s been downloading then it disappears and it was on 90 something % last time it popped up but idk if it’s still downloading or not just Disappeard Btw am in EU
