Hey, I’m looking to move fully from iCloud to Google and would really appreciate some advice on how best to do it.

Right now, I’m paying for iCloud’s 2TB plan, but I’ve recently subscribed to Google One AI Premium for Gemini, which also gives me 2TB of storage, so it makes more sense to use that instead.

I want to transfer everything — photos (including Live Photos if possible), iCloud Drive files, and device backups — and ideally have something similar to iCloud Drive’s Finder-style sync on my Mac.

Has anyone done this and can share the best way to migrate everything smoothly? Thanks in advance!

i have had the new update ios 18.4 on my ipadPro, 3rd generation since yesterday. Now I can't find the new integration "apple intelligence" - why? I also got the message that I now also have apple intelligence... but where?

I have two additional bugs since 18.4: My emails (iCloud with native app) are not notifying anymore when the phone is locked. As soon as I unlock it, it will send the notification of new emails (however, no sound on notification). I have all ON on email notifications as always. It’s just another bug.

Also, my AOD setting js now turning off automatically like 3 times per day. I see the screen is black, I go to screen settings, and the AOD switch is off. I turn it on. I will work for a few hours, and then the display will turn off again, and setting is set to off again.

None of this happened on previous 18.3 version.

Come on Apple… you should be fixing iOS, not making it even worse.

Hey guys ever since updating to iOS 18.4 I’ve noticed the area around my clock on the lock screen has a darkened area around the entire upper lock screen. It seems to be moving when swiping through and clearing notifications. Any ideas how to fix this?

Hello, I am using FaceID with an IPhone XS and just unlocked my phone with a photo of my face. I'd like to unlock my phone with FaceID. I have every FaceID unlock except that turned off but it is still possible to access my passwords in the settings with FaceID. Is there any way to turn this off or is turning off faceid my only option? (Password autofill is off, that's not my problem)

I noticed that when using Apple Mail on iOS I do not get live push notifications of new emails and my widget view is totally out of date.. is this the actual experience with iOS Mail client?

As much as I love Apple and want to strictly use iOS apps on my phone.. It makes me want to stick with Gmail..

On a whim, I tried to ask the same question but preceded by GPT: and it actually worked. It went straight to ChatGPT with a new conversation. Honestly not sure how many people already knew this. Or maybe it’s just faster to open ChatGPT directly.

I went to check my screen time and its at 4k hours on average and the highest screen time on my apps say its safari, tips and control center.

I noticed that some emails arrive after 4-5 hours

I want to have 2 streaming apps (for example, Paramount+ and Youtube) open in split view and switch from app1 to app2 while letting app1 keep playing, but listen to the audio from app2. I realize how convoluted that was, so I’ll just say what I’m trying to do: watch (and listen to!) Youtube videos in one screen while the ads play in Paramount+ (with muted audio), then switch back to Paramount+ when the ads are finished. Is there a way to accomplish this on my iPad?
(If I broke any rules by using the names of the apps, it wasn’t purposely.)

I'm on the latest iOS on an SE3 and my audio messages are suddenly being transcribed. I don't want this and can't find how to disable it. Most of what I've found are discussions about voicemail transcribing which isn't what I'm looking for. I didn't change anything and there hasn't been an update in the last 24 hours. Hi, with the sound on, what’s the correct configuration to have just vibration for Whatsapp notification? If I remove the ringtone for messages it just shows the notification without any sound or vibration. If I turn the sound off it just vibrates correctly. Thanks!

Hello! When I got a notification from Facebook and press on it, it opens a web browser asking to me connect again (mobile website from Facebook). I expect the Facebook app to open but it doesn’t. Do you have also the same kind of behavior on your phones ?

I just updated to 18.4 and noticed when connected to Bluetooth devices which AREN’T my AirPods that the music visualization is gone, and I have to wonder what the logic behind that was. Like no shit I’m connected to a BT audio source, my music doesn’t beam itself to my car using telepathy. Honestly it was my favorite part of the island because I really don’t use anything outside of timers that utilize it.

I want the exact same moon but as a photo because Astronomy wallpapers consume a lot of battery. I tried to remove app icons with Adobe but I got a bad result. Who knows what else can I do?
