To out-of-shape young men, why don’t you exercise?
I’m genuinely curious bros forgive me. But to younger men (under 40 let’s say) who are out of shape - high body fat percentage, no muscle definition, skinny fat, etc. - why do you not exercise and lift weights considering it will make a significant change to your appearance, physical and mental health, and your social life? I don’t mean gym daily per se, but any type of exercise/weight lifting; and I mean including lifting at home with whatever is around or even jump rope. I’m excluding men who aren’t physically able of course.
It’s not difficult to do for any able bodied man, and will take barely an hour out of your day. Why do you not workout when it will make you feel and look more masculine and have a very positive effect on you? Do you not care how you look or is it something else entirely? I feel too rude asking men I know because it’s unnecessary and probably uncomfortable for them to answer. But I’d like to know what reasons could there be because I can’t imagine any honestly. Lmk and no judgement

becoming the person you want to be
everyone tries to brute-force their way to achieving this, but what if i told you there was a second path hidden from view to all but the most learned of man? instead of striving to become someone else, why not simply shift the parameters that define the "person you want to be" through a series of advanced cognitive training techniques (colloquially known as mental gymnastics)?
it sounds simple - and it is - but it is so profound that it comes across as magic to the unlearned. the last time this was achieved successfully, it was considered such a groundbreaking event that it flipped the axioms of a great nation on its head, spawned the birth of a worldwide religion, and fixed in place paradigms that shape the world to this day - see if you can guess what it was. i'm ready to answer questions in the comments

Ultra Orthodox Jewish Population Growth
I would just like to preface that this isn't some weird crypto-white supremacist shit, outside of the misogyny and practice of outcasting those who don't conform, I actually have quite a lot of respect for the Haredi and their devotion to scripture.
I was walking around the Orthodox part of my city today and was fascinated by what I see. It's like going back in time to the 50s. I don't mean to "other" a segment of the population or put them on some museum pedestal, but I don't think there's a single community that compares. Brick phones only, yiddish posters, men in top hats.
The one thing that occurred to me, however, was just how many kids there were. Every woman seemed to be surrounded by at least 5 children, many of the mothers looked younger than I am. Orthodox populations seem to buck the trend of plummeting fertility rates that we see worldwide, probably because it's one of the only religions/cultures/ethnicities for which procreation is one of the sole purposes of existence. Women are taught from a young age that their duty is to be a mother to as many children as possible, and deviating from this amounts to heresy that will get you cast out by your family. I don't think any other sect puts as much emphasis on pure reproduction as this one does. And modern medicine combined with a welfare state means that it's now a community that has pre-industrial fertility rates but can raise 7 or 8 kids per family with an education and good health.
The actual population of Haredi Jews in Stamford Hill is unknown, and local politicians have stated that it's probably vastly undercounted as it's a very insular community. From what we do know however, the population increased 30% between 2011 and 2021. Anyway, when you're looking at a population that's a) extremely insular, where leaving is nigh on impossible if you don't want to be completely outcast from everyone that matters to you and b) effectively growing at an exponential rate, wouldn't they just become a global majority eventually as every other population is forecast to be in decline?

Autism discourse online has devolved simply into “normie” vs “not normie” and it’s ridiculous
Just saw a video where this guy eats everything Teddy Roosevelt ate in a day, and the top comments were “Okay so Teddy was definitely autistic right?” Other commenter responds: “All culture is literally created by neurodiverse people, neurotypical people don’t have the intelligence to create culture.”
I’ve seen this a million times online before too. I’ve seen people say that “All big authors are likely on the spectrum. Neurotypicals don’t have the ability to be observational enough to write about other people like that.”
Saw another post that asked, “What do you guys think of when you think of a neurotypical person?” Top comment is, “I picture someone who gets up early for work, loves going to work, has a clean car, is always on time, and doesn’t make a fuss about things.”
The divide seems to have just become “normie” vs autistic. If you’re anything aside from a boring, happy-go-lucky mindless drone with no thoughts outside of socially correct social responses, then you’re clearly neurodivergent.
Girl from my high school is posting about how she’s on the spectrum, and I can’t think of 40 kids from my class who were more socially stunted than her, and I’ve personally never seen her exhibit autistic qualities outside of “lol XD quirky” posting. Also states she’s gay but has only been married to/dated guys (is currently engaged to one right now).

iPhones cause low fertility
Looking at your phone is more fun than fucking. And way more fun than raising kids. Retvrn to entertainment being print magazines and 3 TV channels and the number of babies will skyrocket.

Why on earth are the Zoomer guys wearing their hair with no sideburns these days? It looks like shit and removes a natural framing of your face. Discuss.

I will die penniless before I buy American butter
The agriculture industry in America is so centered on cheap slop it's disgusting. The butter is watered down and from corn fed diabetic cows. It literally causes inflammatory responses that don't happen when consuming grass fed dairy. I will buy the Kerrygold and enjoy it even if the tarriff is 40000% because our producers do not deserve my money. May the water dry from the land o lakes and only pure beautiful milk fat be left in her ponds.

Why do people laugh when I hum "mhm" on the phone?
"Mhm" as in the affirmative "yes." In the past couple months I've experienced the following customer service reps laugh at this:
- Black woman at the IRS with a very prominent AAVE accent
- White man at internet service provider
- Hispanic woman at gas company
Interestingly, outsourced Indian reps have never laughed at me for this. I'm a white male btw.
