Blantons, Taylor, Stagg, Eagle Rare, Mid winters dram, Buffalo trace all on the shelves at just about every liqour store I go to in the last month here in Texas. They are still "allocated" and going for secondary in most places, but it seems like the rare bottles weren't so rare after all.

Is it worth picking the OSEO over the OBSF and OESK.

Have heard very good things about both these bottles and am a big fan of the Jack Daniels Barrel Proof Rye and the Single Barrel Rye so have high hopes.

Have never tried Evan Williams and look forward to this, heard it’s an easy pour to enjoy.

I'm an American in Europe, and although the US whiskey availability is decent, there are some that are just not available here. I love the JDSBBP which I can get easily, but never could find the rye. HH BIB is also not available in Europe but for me is a great daily.

On a recent business trip to the US, my wife bought both and brought them back and had them hid until my birthday.

Can't wait to try them, especially the JBSBBP rye which at 134.8 proof is the highest I have.

I'm only familiar with Nikka with the samurai helmet bottle caps. No dates on bottle that I can read. Is this a keeper?

finally found one ( batch 3) and pulled the trigger and was pretty tasty

I remembered I had bought a couple bottles of Macallan Cask Strength from the early to mid 2000s. I brought one bottle to a party around that time and finding it far too strong for me, so I packed the other bottle away in the back of my collection and forgot about it until now.

Both bottles were stored in their boxes under the same condition but I notice a loss in volume in the Cask Strength. I’m not planning on opening either any time soon so I parafilmed both bottles and tuck them away again. Maybe it will help with any more loss, maybe it won’t, but it can’t hurt.

I ended up Parafilming my entire unopened collection as well since I’ve cut down on my drinking significantly. I’m hoping to pass the collection to my kids one day. Not a lot but my favorites from back in the day.

Went in for the Jack 10, but was able to grab the last Jack 12 at MSRP. They would only let me purchase one or the other, but I definitely wasn’t disappointed. Cheers and enjoy the Final Four weekend 🥃🏀.

Bardstown and Rock Hill Farms made me fall in love with Whiskey. Just got back from a trip to many distilleries in Kentucky.

It’s been a crazy few weeks at work so tonight I’m treating myself with a pour form the Basil Hayden 10 year.

Celebrating a job well done with a pour of Gold. I build this display out of a piece of leftover cherry from my bourbon cabinet build. This one matches much better.

I went for one of my cheaper bourbons and it’s not bad for the price. It is definitely worth another buy for the shelf.

Considering stopping by the distillery since I will be close next week. Do they have any distillery only offerings or sell any of their higher end bottles in the gift shop? Just curious to know if I am just going to see a bunch of Hot Honey or Green Apple bottles! Not expecting Coy Hill…. 🥃
