What’s this missing part for?

The note honestly seems like a perfect workaround for everyone involved.

Dragon Spacecraft Boosts Station for First Time

It's hard to think of a way to write this - "by 7/100 of a mile at apogee and 7/10 of a mile at perigee" - that is more confusing than the way they did.

I'm having a hard time with PDC rounds while on a burn
 in  r/TheExpanse  Oct 20 '24

If it helps, you can imagine the ship takes this into account and adjusts to avoid previously fired rounds. At the instant a round is fired, the ship knows its position, its orientation, and the orientation of the gun. So the ship could store in memory, tor each bullet fired, and update with every timestamp, where the bullet is. Then with a possible collision either warn the pilot or adjust the controls slightly to avoid it.

I didn’t see it coming, so for me the setup and the pay off were perfect.

Does French stoner culture use the term "420"? If so, how do they say it?
 in  r/French  Jul 24 '24

I’ve been trying to explain to French people that Americans generally don’t include tobacco in a joint, so when the French do it they are rolling a spliff instead.

Does anyone know what this flag is near the bottom right? I’m starting to think it isn’t real
 in  r/geography  Jul 20 '24

A historical country that fits alphabetically between “Ukraine” and “United Arab Emirates” is “Upper Volta.” Upper Volta was the name of Burkina Faso before it was changed in 1984. And the flag appears to have the same color pallet. This seems like a clue but I don’t know where to go from here.

Why I feel some french people are not really friendly when I speak French?
 in  r/French  Jun 29 '24

Troubles with the accent are exacerbated by the fact that native French speakers are incredibly sensitive to subtle differences in vowels in a way that Americans are not.

You can massively screw up the ‘r’ and it won’t matter a bit, but if you even slightly mess up a vowel it throws the whole thing off - in English it would practically be the equivalent of randomly swapping around consonants.

Don’t forget cabin overheat protection in case you accidentally forget your kid in the car. Literally a life saver.

Stadium Way - Don’t let these people in
 in  r/LosAngeles  Jan 31 '24

If you’re on a crowded freeway and there’s a line for the off ramp, but the next freeway has no traffic, then I wonder if cutting in front of someone who leaves a big gap at the front right when the speed picks up (and therefore doesn’t take the off ramp in time when it’s their turn) actually removes a car from the roads sooner and reduces the overall traffic, with no penalty to anyone else.

 in  r/AskReddit  Nov 24 '23

For the Americans here, you should know that the inverse, with hugs, is also true. If you go in to hug a French person - even a close friend or acquaintance in a social setting - they’ll be as taken aback as we are when someone comes in with a kiss.

The original Jurassic Park was an incredibly good movie for older adults, younger adults, teens… well, everybody. It’s a fantastic movie all around and it still holds up to this day. I’m not sure I can even comprehend what you’re saying.
