Ming Hua (being one of the most talented water benders once again) vs. Aang's kids
Goddddd I love Ming-Hua so much.

Would you read a webtoon in this style?
It kinda gives me the vibe of an AI image which has been heavily edited/colored over by a human.
The level of skill/confidence in the face in Image 1 (both coloring and lines/structure) is not the same as the level of skill in the drawing of the water or the butterflies. Those seem more human-made to me.
The second image is more consistent within itself, but not with 1.
Like I said, it's the signatures which are the biggest red flag to me personally.

Would you read a webtoon in this style?
Tbh I would not. I'm not saying you actually did use AI or trace or something, but at a glance, it kinda gives off that vibe. It looks like there are vastly different levels of skill between certain parts of the drawing, which is a red flag to me.
The 2 different signatures also stick out to me. I can't find anyone called "@auathebunni" on Google.

Microwaving fruit is the way to go
This is maybe a silly thing to say but I love your positive attitude all over this thread. It's nice to see on a site that often leans cynical.

Microwaving fruit is the way to go
I don't agree with OP, personally, but it kind of sounds like pie filling. Which many people do like.

What's some crazy fic trope you're obsessed with, but it's so niche hardly anyone writes it?
"Alternate POV" is a much broader category than "outsider POV." Something like Midnight Sun (Twilight through Edward's POV instead of Bella's) or Peeta's Games (same thing but for the Hunger Games series) may be an alternate POV but it decidedly does not hit the same things that I enjoy in outsider POV fic.
The fun of it specifically comes from watching someone who is fairly uninvolved react to the story. So I for one am grateful that people use the more specific tag.

They're pretty territorial and also cannibalistic, so they kinda control their own population.

Yay! That's wonderful to hear.

No prob lol I'm having fun with the pencil one right now. Hope they work out alright for you!

Help me find a brush like this or teach me how to set it up
It's definitely about brushwork but I think the modifications needed to go from Procreate's Syrup brush (which is very sharp and hard) to this might be a little tricky for someone who's never messed around with brush settings before

How to improve? (Multi-media)
It's a great start! I really, sincerely like your art. You seem like a "jack of all trades" sort who has a good start in a lot of different areas, but there's also room for improvement in all of those areas too. So please keep that in mind—I have a lot of comments, but that doesn't mean I think poorly of your art! I honestly think our art styles have a lot in common and want to give you advice that I wish I could've received earlier.
- Gesture: Your characters feel a bit "posed." Like those poseable wooden dolls that you can buy at some art stores. (I see one of them actually is a doll, but the rest of them shouldn't look like that.) It doesn't feel like you have much experience with drawing real people in motion. Try some timed practice in gesture! Seriously. I know you're not going for realism, but having those fundamentals will do wonders for fantasy art too. The difference that it can make is crazy. Don't worry about details, just try to get the loose shape of a person in 30-60 seconds. Try to include all 4 limbs including at least something that represents feet and hands. quickposes.com has features for this, though I like the poses from adorkastock more.
- Anatomy: Goes hand-in-hand with gesture here, though it's worthwhile to spend some time focusing on each separately. It's not just "where are the muscles/bones/etc," it's also "what do the muscles/bones do when they move this specific way?" We humans are very flexible, squishy, dynamic creatures!

- Life hack: prop your phone against a wall (or up on a desk or whatever angle you need). Start a selfie video. Make the pose you want to draw. Go through your video, screenshot the pose. Free customizable reference pics.
- Also, your characters are all quite skinny, which isn't a problem—draw what you want—but I will say, drawing chubby people is great for understanding how and where and when the human body squishes, because it's a bit more pronounced. Skinny people will often squish in similar places, just more subtly. Totally up to you if you feel like trying this.
- Shading: I think you lean too heavily on soft shading. Soft shading is nice because it lets you hide when you don't fully understand a structure, but it lacks the oomph that a mix of hard and soft shading can offer. Don't think of soft shading and hard shading as two separate things! They're friends.
- Lighting/color: A couple things here.
- First, don't be afraid to push harsh contrast! Deep dark shadows and bright highlights can really strengthen a piece.
- I think your color palettes could be integrated better. Scenes are not just "base colors, shadows, highlights." Colors—hue and saturation, NOT just value—are bouncing off each other just as much as shadows and highlights are, and they interact with each other. You have to mess around with your base colors to make them feel at home in a scene. Example: in Slide 3, you've got what appears to be a foggy gray sky, but a very bright saturated cherry tree, a very saturated green hill, and a character with some highly saturated elements. Gray fog will suck the saturation out of most elements of your scene. Look at this photo—this guy's wearing neon orange construction gear, literally as saturated as you can get, but his helmet is grayish in most spots and his shoulders are framed with gray light.
- One method you can try: Duplicate your base color layer. Lower the saturation of the entire duplicated layer until it is quite low. (Various ways to do this. Personal rec that works in Procreate: Add a "Color" filter clipping mask in the color of the background, then adjust the opacity. Then merge the mask.) Then, use a soft brush to gently erase the desaturated layer in different spots. Add highlights and shadows to complement.
Good luck with everything!

What in a description make you never click on a fic?
I actually really like quotes so long as they're well-chosen and give a good sense of what the fic will be like. If it's just something vague and flowery, sure, that's bad, but many of the ones I've seen work well. Rather than just strictly getting the plot/concept, you get a taste of the vibes & writing style.

What is the difference between blackface and drag(queens)?
There is an attempt to decouple the gender of the performer, thus allowing any performer to do any performance. This is somewhat controvertial - but shows a completely different understanding of what drag is amongst the queer community.
Chappell Roan, who as far as I know is a cisgender woman, is probably the most famous female drag queen!

Whats the biggest red-flag you've ever seen but ignored it?
Some people on the internet have weird writing quirks. I've seen quotations around everything, people who capitalize the first letter of every single word, people who don't capitalize at all, and even some who italicize everything. I think that's all this is.
I copied the first sentence of their comment into Google, with quotes around it (which tells Google to look for the exact words in that exact order). I got no results, which suggests to me that this is not a reference to anything, or at least not a common one.
That's the strategy I usually use when people seem to be making a reference that I don't get. People are often coy/jokey about giving you a straight answer when it comes to references, so it's nice to have a tool like that to check.

I am with you. I think it's a bat bug based on the length of the hairs and shape of thorax.

Peanut butter&jelly is the worst sandwich combination
It sounds like you don't enjoy peanut butter or jelly on their own lol, of course you don't like them paired together.
I also have ingredients I dislike, but I wouldn't consider sandwiches with those ingredients in them to be terrible sandwich combinations. They're just not for me.

Thank you! Good luck with your search :)

I need help with lunches
- Stews, soups, chilis—you just need to get a good container that holds them without leaking. I use a thermos personally.
- I know you said no salads, but pasta/noodle salads and grain salads are very texturally different from your typical salad, and there's a huge amount of variety you can get in there. A macaroni salad vs a cold pad Thai-style noodle salad vs a farro salad are all gonna taste and feel very different
Main thing for every lunch you're able to is get a bit of starch, a bit of veg, and some protein in there. It will help you feel full longer, and it's good for you :)

Omg hell yes, her skirts are so nice. I am a woman who wears skirts all the time. Those flowy skirts do a fantastic job of hiding the gigantic pockets.
