She works 9-1 M-F. Supervisor.

I wake up at 3:45. Go to gym at 5. Eat breakfast at 6:30. Leave for work by 7:15 for a 40-min commute.

I have to be at work at 8:00. She doesn't have to be at work until 9:00. If I were to drop the kids off, my commute would be having me get to work 30 minutes late.

On normal days, she has to be at work at 9:00 but the kids need to get dropped off at 7:40. So she comes back home after she drops them off, on a normal day. But today she had to be at work at the same time she has to drop the kids off at school. So she wouldn't come back home.

Today she asked because I have off in the morning. But today she also had to be to work the same time as the kids. Other days, she doesn't have to be to work until 9:00. So they all would be going to work/school at the same time today. So she wouldn't be coming back home today to get ready. She already has to be ready because she has to go into work earlier than normal, but it's the same time as she has to drop the kids off.

Today she doesn't have to come back. She had to be at work the same time she drops the kids off. So she'd leave with the kids, go get coffee, and then head to their school/her work. All of it is on the way.

She wanted 10 minutes by herself, without the kids (aka me take the kids instead of her so she could go get coffee). Sorry if that wasn't clear.
