The choice is a shit choice in the first place, so there is no right answer. You have to decide what you would rather suffer. One option is to let them take you and end up kidnapped by criminals, or kidnapped by government agents and end up in a concentration camp style foreign prison, or be disappeared, or maybe getting really lucky and getting let go after being physically and possibly sexually assaulted and having your life ruined. The other option is to fight back and likely be executed on the spot, or viciously beaten and then have all the bad things from the other option happen anyways.
