That chart. 2 columns.
One has the claimed % of tarrifs each country is supposedly charging.
The other has the percentage he is imposing as a retaliation lol
Fun game: pick a country... look up the trade deficit between them and the USA.
Now look up that countries total exports (goods and services) to the usa for the same year 2024.
Divide the two and - in short form - you will get the percentage number he has listed there as what he's claiming said country is charging the usa in tarrifs.
Don't believe me? Ask chat gpt... like this:
https://chatgpt.com/share/67edb4b0-7fa4-800c-aa08-e6643d6149b4

Bro, he sold Twitter, worth less than 9 billion to xAI for an 80 billion valuation
Dude is making money out of thin air
He also has all the data for all Americans, and back doors after getting read and write access
29
u/highlorestat 3d ago
xAI was founded by Elon Musk in March 2023.
By selling an overvalued company, he was forced to buy (to not get away with market manipulation again), to himself by buying it at an overvalued price.
It's probably to claim tax deductions on the loss in value of both Twitter and Tesla (well mostly to avoid the loans he leveraged with it).
12
u/LickMyTicker 2d ago
It artificially raised xAis value. It's money laundering plain and simple.
5
u/Rugaru985 2d ago
Isnāt xAI still private?
And money laundering is running fake money or marked bills through a legitimate business so that the bad money is spread out as change through your customers, and their clean bills come back to you.
Anyway, his little sale of twitter to grok means nothing to anyone except that the people who had a private stake in twitter now own a piece of xAI at the ratio of the sale.
He had to appease his lenders by giving them a piece of one of his other companies, since twitter is not profitable.
→ More replies (2)5
→ More replies (1)10
u/big_cock_lach 2d ago
Oh God you do belong here.
He famously sold X/Twitter to himself for $45b, which means a valuation of $33b due to the $12b debt. The $80b valuation is for xAI, his AI startup, not for X/Twitter.
He initially bought Twitter for $44b since it was a publicly traded company and he didnāt have a choice. Itās hard to value private companies, so having it roughly at the same price as it was a few years ago is fairly standard. The exact value will be based on whatever costs him the least to restructure it (largely looking at taxes).
The $9b ($9.4b to be exact, which isnāt less than $9b) figure comes from Fidelity listing its holdings in X/Twitter and valuing them, which when extrapolated was worth $9.4b. That likely takes into account sales agreements. Itās not uncommon for private companies to have strict sales agreements on their shares, and common things in these agreements include who they can sell for and for how much. These agreements can cause your personal holdings to be worth less than the equivalent portion of the company. It can also do the opposite but Iād be very surprised if Elon set it up that way. The true market valuation would likely be a lot closer to that $9.4b figure than the $33b figure though.

→ More replies (2)4
u/UncleFesterswart 3d ago
Can you explain where they are even getting those numbers from? I donāt understand this board at all lol
4
u/OpticalPrime35 3d ago
The section that says " tariffs charged to the U.S " is the tariffs other countries add to the price of our goods when they import them
But that added cost is not charged to the US. It is charged to the companies in that country who are importing our goods. Those increased import costs are then passed onto their citizens when they buy that product.
Him labeling it " charged to the US " is a blatant lie to continue his false narrative that the tariffs he is adding to the goods we are importing ( the number on the right ) are somehow hurting those countries and isnt going to raise our prices. He has been lying about tariffs since moment one.
So for example, the tariff added into Japan. We import lots of stuff, say the Playstation 5, from Japan. Now that item gets an automatic % raise in price due to the tariff. So Sony can then go, ok sorry guys the PS5 is now 25% more expensive in the US to counter the tariff.
