If I hear any republicans who voted for this guy and bitching about groceries price I am gonna say fuck you

Well at least the stock prices are going down šŸ‘Ž

Using this one, thx!

29

Yeah so billionaires can buy them back cheap

7

u/Partyatmyplace13 2d ago

Since "stock" is technically a type of grocery, it sounds to me like you're just afraid of admitting that Tramp actually did it!

Gonna /s this, against my better judgement, because you can never tell if a MAGA argument is serious or not...

8

Trump supporters love that though

They won't say a damn thing, they will blindly find ways to support it while suffering ....

Best analogy I have heard;

They would eat shit if a liberal had to smell thier breath.

22

u/Both_Sundae2695 2d ago

If they bitch it will only be because they are still trying to blame Biden/Democrats for it.

8

u/B-BoyStance 3d ago

They are in quite the conundrum because it's fuck you for not bitching about grocery prices too. Inconsistent.

3

u/jlittle622 2d ago

"Groceries... such an old fashioned word! Lower groceries, you know I invented it, I won a campaign on it!" What a fucking retard.

3

u/stinky-weaselteats 2d ago

Fuckā€™m all. This shit will not work & never would have. Narcissistic billionaire boomer using half century year old methods for trading is comical.

2

u/nimkeenator 2d ago

I have a cousin in the em-eye who said it's good to have good Ole Donny back, as prices are finally going down. Apparently (in her world) they are cheaper than they ever were under Biden. Fun times. Yes, her and that whole part of the family are looking forward to voting for him in a 3rd term.

3

u/Jazzlike-Pin9021 2d ago

Dems should keep those tariffs untill atleast 50% of the ppl that voted for him will swear not to vote again

The guy is literally holding up a giant sign that proves he is responsible for the stock market collapse and skyrocketing inflation.

Yet somehow he will deny responsibility...

406

u/youarenut 3d ago

Itā€™s one thing that he denies responsibility. The scarier thing is that half of the population believes it

75

u/Mister_sina 3d ago

Well, then they'd have deserved losing their 401k

99

u/TailDragger9 3d ago

Yeah, but the problem is, I haven't deserved losing my 401k, but it's gonna happen anyway. The fact that a bunch of douches will also be losing theirs isn't much consolation.

58

I am down 25 percent. Prices keep increasing. Fuck Trump.Ā

21

No, I outright refuse to fuck Trump. Under no circumstances would I allow that to happen.

I agree with your sentiment, though.

If it can help you cope with the situation, sharing the same country that those morons and letting get away with all their shit for so long is part of the problem, it's not the root cause, it's not the main issue, but it's time to drive towards solutions rather than complaining about one's impotence.

That chart. 2 columns.

One has the claimed % of tarrifs each country is supposedly charging.

The other has the percentage he is imposing as a retaliation lol

Fun game: pick a country... look up the trade deficit between them and the USA.

Now look up that countries total exports (goods and services) to the usa for the same year 2024.

Divide the two and - in short form - you will get the percentage number he has listed there as what he's claiming said country is charging the usa in tarrifs.

Don't believe me? Ask chat gpt... like this:

https://chatgpt.com/share/67edb4b0-7fa4-800c-aa08-e6643d6149b4

He has basically made up an excuse to do this for each country with that simple equation.

Bro, he sold Twitter, worth less than 9 billion to xAI for an 80 billion valuation

Dude is making money out of thin air

He also has all the data for all Americans, and back doors after getting read and write access

29

u/highlorestat 3d ago

xAI was founded by Elon Musk in March 2023.

By selling an overvalued company, he was forced to buy (to not get away with market manipulation again), to himself by buying it at an overvalued price.

It's probably to claim tax deductions on the loss in value of both Twitter and Tesla (well mostly to avoid the loans he leveraged with it).

12

u/LickMyTicker 2d ago

It artificially raised xAis value. It's money laundering plain and simple.

5

u/Rugaru985 2d ago

Isnā€™t xAI still private?

And money laundering is running fake money or marked bills through a legitimate business so that the bad money is spread out as change through your customers, and their clean bills come back to you.

Anyway, his little sale of twitter to grok means nothing to anyone except that the people who had a private stake in twitter now own a piece of xAI at the ratio of the sale.

He had to appease his lenders by giving them a piece of one of his other companies, since twitter is not profitable.

5

u/-boatsNhoes 2d ago

He essentially diluted xAi investors.

10

u/big_cock_lach 2d ago

Oh God you do belong here.

He famously sold X/Twitter to himself for $45b, which means a valuation of $33b due to the $12b debt. The $80b valuation is for xAI, his AI startup, not for X/Twitter.

He initially bought Twitter for $44b since it was a publicly traded company and he didnā€™t have a choice. Itā€™s hard to value private companies, so having it roughly at the same price as it was a few years ago is fairly standard. The exact value will be based on whatever costs him the least to restructure it (largely looking at taxes).

The $9b ($9.4b to be exact, which isnā€™t less than $9b) figure comes from Fidelity listing its holdings in X/Twitter and valuing them, which when extrapolated was worth $9.4b. That likely takes into account sales agreements. Itā€™s not uncommon for private companies to have strict sales agreements on their shares, and common things in these agreements include who they can sell for and for how much. These agreements can cause your personal holdings to be worth less than the equivalent portion of the company. It can also do the opposite but Iā€™d be very surprised if Elon set it up that way. The true market valuation would likely be a lot closer to that $9.4b figure than the $33b figure though.

this is 100% about the tax cuts, the tariffs are set so he can inflate trade numbers for the next ten years for tax math. After GOP gets tax cuts done, Trump will say deals were done and tariffs will be repealed.

The real concern is what will credit ratings agencies do to our debt...

We are gonna see a Volker ish jump in yields.

Hyper inflation engaged.

3

u/supraclicious 2d ago

I would have preferred paying more income taxes. At least that math would have been simple and once a year. With these tariffs there's no way to know what I'm actually paying. 37% on China, 20% on Europe, 10, 40, 15?! Like bruh the grocery store has things from everywhere. The tariff formula they used of countries against the United States is simply Imports/Exports. Some countries import more from the US than they export. They get 10%. Thatā€™s it. There isnā€™t a deep dive into trade policy.

Trump has a brain dead focus on trade imbalance because he things that is the key determinant of the wealth of a nation.

10

u/Ok_Medium_4907 3d ago

Are they really this stupid

12

u/OpticalPrime35 3d ago

People try to say no, but yes. I really think Trump believes that the tariffs from other countries are literally charged to the US.

He has said it a dozen times now and it is right there in writing on his official board

4

u/UncleFesterswart 3d ago

Can you explain where they are even getting those numbers from? I donā€™t understand this board at all lol

4

u/OpticalPrime35 3d ago

The section that says " tariffs charged to the U.S " is the tariffs other countries add to the price of our goods when they import them

But that added cost is not charged to the US. It is charged to the companies in that country who are importing our goods. Those increased import costs are then passed onto their citizens when they buy that product.

Him labeling it " charged to the US " is a blatant lie to continue his false narrative that the tariffs he is adding to the goods we are importing ( the number on the right ) are somehow hurting those countries and isnt going to raise our prices. He has been lying about tariffs since moment one.

So for example, the tariff added into Japan. We import lots of stuff, say the Playstation 5, from Japan. Now that item gets an automatic % raise in price due to the tariff. So Sony can then go, ok sorry guys the PS5 is now 25% more expensive in the US to counter the tariff.

Moronic

3

u/HeyItsBearald 2d ago

Despite the photo of him presenting this cartoonish board of tariffs, the impending inflation and economy crash is TOTALLY Bidens fault.

3

u/snakeandfox 2d ago

So the 10% tariffs don't have any discount ??? I'm bummed.

"this is a beautiful chart. You know I'm told we make the best charts, like nowhere else in the world. Canada wishes they had charts like this. Beautiful big charts. They say I'm the chart guy. Seriously. My last charts were laughed at so we got professionals involved. This chart is going to hold the world and fake news accountable. God bless. No questions."

Nah, itā€™s because of fentanyl bro! Once he crashes the economy, leaves us destitute, we will need drugs to cope with the unemployment line stress.

2

u/Complex-Reference353 2d ago

This guys is holding a giant sign of lies and the data made up by elementary school students as a summer break project.

2

u/Regular_Hovercraft14 2d ago

Why does he look like a kid at school showing off his science fair experiment ?

2

u/Additional_Ad7020 2d ago

2

2

u/dextras07 2d ago

America gonna be fun to watch. Never thought it's downfall would have been from inside.

Some kid probably wrote a paper about it in the 80s and possibly failed the class. No one would have believed something like this.

2

u/Jager0987 2d ago

Trump is a moron. This is going to lead to a recession.

2

u/Weak-Document90 2d ago

Thanks alot you orange cock sucker

2

u/Ashamed-Complaint423 2d ago

I just want to know where are the people that voted for him and screamed about egg prices. Seem to be awfully quiet right now.

2

u/SocietyIntelligent84 2d ago

Why am I reminded so much of this:

Bob Barker: Alright, Sora. You need to guess the price of this antique keyblade, and it's all yours. But when you guess the price, I say higher or lower, and you have to guess again until you get it.

Sora: Three money?

Bob Barker: Higher Sora.

Sora: Five money?

Bob Barker: Lower.

Sora: Six money.

Bob Barker: Um, lower Sora. That means down.

Sora: One BILLION money!

Bob Barker: Lower, you idiot!

Sora: Three money?

Yeah but it's not his fault. He has to do it because of the mess Biden left behind. /s

2

u/marc_4x4 2d ago

One positive thing though: it shows Taiwan as a country (or is this an extra provocation for China?!)
