LOL Yes a swizzle stick is for stiring your drink. They made swizzle sticks with the little toilet seat on the top where your hand would grip it. Probably a marketing thing. Maybe for some kind of big company convention.

As an out transgender person for over eight years, let me just say...
 in  r/glutenfree  3h ago

My go to is to tell people it's like eating glass. Both going in and coming out. And it lasts three days. Most people get a pained expression and don't push me to each gluten anymore.

First pie
 in  r/pie  4h ago

You're welcome. It's a perfectly fine first pie. Lattice tops are over rated in my opinion. They are pretty, but pie lovers really don't care about those pretty tops.

I want a slice of that pie. No one cares if pie is messy, they just want it to taste good.

What improved your quality of life so much, you wish you did it sooner?
 in  r/AskReddit  17h ago

I got a recumbent trike. I have had a recumbent road bike for years. A trike came up on craigslist in my area, and in my price range so I bought it. I knew I would have to switch as I aged, but thought it would be years before I had to.

I found out the recumbent trikes are a fantastic rehab machine. My back stopped hurting. A leg injury from when I was a kid improved dramtically. I wish I had switched sooner.

I had a breast reduction and can’t figure out how to bra my new breasts. Help please

Walmart special. Cheap enough that if they don't work for you you don't feel too bad.

How long have you had Myasthenia Gravis?
 in  r/MyastheniaGravis  2d ago

I don't remember. It wasn't anything exotic. No I don't think it was cyclophosphamide.

Is this considered abuse too?
 in  r/abusiverelationships  2d ago

Yes it's abuse. He knows if you get away from him for even a little while you will realize life is so much better without his threats and manipulations. I would quietly make my plans to leave.

Andrew Carnegie gave us libraries and Elon Musk is going to take them away. Shame on him.

Nut Mixes
 in  r/glutenfree  4d ago

check the label. Some nuts are processed in factories that also process things using wheat. Spice mixes often use flour. So if they make spiced nuts, then process the cashews you could get wheat with your cashews.

Netflix Pulse MG Episode
 in  r/MyastheniaGravis  4d ago

For years I would go into a hospital and they would ask me what MG was. How did I spell it. then they wanted my meds and they would be medicating me. It just mad me sputter. You don't know what it is, you can't even spell it and you're going to decide if and when I get meds? Fuck that.

Doctors who have experience with MG can easily diagnose it. When I got to the neurologist who knew what he was looking at I was diagnosed in minutes. It was the 18 months until I got to him that was hell.

'House' has an awful MG episode too. If I remember correctly the patient is a professional bike racer and House diagnosises him with MG. And he goes back to bike racing. Yeah, right.

I have been watching 'Brilliant Minds' and enjoying that they don't 'fix' people. The patients have to find a way to live with their new normal.

I was diagnosed at few hours ago, I’m terrified
 in  r/MyastheniaGravis  4d ago

It's scary as hell when you first get diagnosed. We all went through it. There is always someone here to answer your questions. And I know we are all crossing our fingers that you have a mild case.

[Recommendations] looking for my first bra as HRT is doing its job
 in  r/ABraThatFits  5d ago

Fruit of the Loom has soft cotton front hook bras that worked very well for me while dealing with the changes during reconstruction after breast cancer. they handled the changing cup sizes very well. They are inexpensive and avaliable from Walmart. They may be a good place to start.

I had an extremely interesting breakthrough today….
 in  r/migraine  5d ago

You need to bring this up with your doctor. My housemate was prescribed blood pressure medication in an attempt to control his cluster headaches. It did seem to help him.

Your immune system is attacking your body. Some of the treatments are to tamp down your immune system. Pyridostigmine does not act on your immune system.

They are doing a CT scan of your chest to see if you have a tumor in your thymus gland. Many MG patients do have a tumor. Others don't. It isn't uncommon to have the thymus gland removed.

I would not assume that it would bar you from SRS. I had a mastectomy and a reconstruction with no problems. My symptoms were very active at the time.

He wants all the benefits of a relationship without any of the responsibilities. He is not a keeper.

AITA for Letting My Ex Use My Streaming Accounts Even Though She Ignores Me?
 in  r/AmItheAsshole  5d ago

ESH Really dude? Why? You are paying for her entertainment and she wants nothing to do with you. It really isn't healthy for you to keep her on your accounts so you can keep tabs on her. You aren't moving on with your life.

Cancelled health programs/services in South Dakota?
 in  r/SouthDakota  5d ago

I haven't heard of cancellations yet. I did have to get some appointments at my local clinic and it's almost impossible to get in. People are racing to get things fixed as fast as possible before they lose coverage.

Influenza management?
 in  r/MyastheniaGravis  5d ago

Rest and let your body do it's thing. Influenza is a virus and antibiotics won't help. Have you seen a doctor? If not maybe you should. There are things to take that will help with influenza. Do not stop your prednisone unless you see your doctor and they tell you to.

The biggest thing going forward is to always get your flu shot. In fact you should check your vaccinations and get anything that is out of date.

Oversleep makes ptosis worse?
 in  r/MyastheniaGravis  5d ago

Yeah, sometimes getting too much sleep is as bad as not getting enough sleep. Over thirty years of dealing with MG and it's still tossing new weird symptoms my way. I just try to be very zen about it, because getting upset will make it worse too. LOL

My (29F) boyfriend (48M) says I start all our arguments and blames me for our problems. Is it really my fault?
 in  r/relationships  5d ago

He is almost 20 years older then you. Do you suppose it might be because women his age will not put up with his childish ways? You are in an abusive relationship. R/abusiverelationships and read Lundy Bancroft's Why does he do that. Google it , there are free PDFs online.

He enjoys hurting and controlling you.
